I was put off her when I read "the Gathering" (which I liked, but didn't feel like reading similar stuff) several years ago.
But I've read all of her Obernewtyn books (the final one isn't out yet) and I really, really liked them. They're something of a fantasy-cross that is actually set in the future, and I'd recommend them to anyone that likes that sort of stuff.
At the moment, I'm reading The gateway trilogy, and I'm enjoying that too. I haven't come across much mention of the author on the net, which I think is surprising given that her books are good. (She's an Australian writer...)

So, anyone heard of her?

I haven't actually read her books for about 2 years, but i really loved the Obernewtyn series when I did.

I haven't read any of her other books, and I can't wait for the final book!!!I'm so excited as to what Rushton and Elspeth do, as well as finding out about the Firebirds and the 'government' thing going on...I wonder when she'll finish it?

What was your fav book? Mine was the first one.

Finally! Another person who knows who on earth I'm going on about.

I really liked the first one, but I'm not sure if it was my favourite or "The keeping Place" was. I want to read the next one *grrr* so I wish she'd hurry up and finish it. I keep on wondering about Domick... why has he changed (I guess that's kind of obvious, but I want to know who side is he one... *tries to remember* and doesn't he disappear at the end of the Keeping Place? Also why did Dameon stay behind in... I've gone blank on the place... ?
And then there's the whole quest-thing of Elspeth's on top of that. Oh, I want to read it!
