I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions regarding any period romance books?
I absolutely love romantic novels set in the 19th/18th century, so naturally I adore Jane Austen and have read all hers but I could do with some recommendations, as there are so many out there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S I HIGHLY recommend Elizabeth Gaskell. Wives and Daughters absolutely equals anything Jane Austen has ever written and North and South is fantastic as well.

Ah, JF, someone after my own heart! Another I would suggest is "Vanity Fair" by William H. Thackeray, a great classic read, and the movie isn't terrible either.
