I realized that i really have not read a lot of books. I just reread stuff like crazy! So are there any suggestions about books that i should read? I need to widen my library, it is rather small.

Well, I'm not really quite sure what kind of stuff you read. 'Cause, I'd love to suggest a lot of stuff, but I'm not sure if it's anything you'd like to read. 
Man, I need to get back in the habit of reading. GAH. This whole school year, I think I read two non-school books.

Labyrinth and Sepulchre by Kate Mosse are good, but they are *ahem* 'mature' in places. |

Kite Runner is good... though it gets pretty graphic and is DEFINITELY not for anyone under 14... It's a powerful story but not for younger kids... quite haunting and... yeah... |

All my suggestions are for mature readers only too, but nothing that any teenager couldn't handle. These are just off the top of my head... <i>The Thirteenth Tale</i> by Diane Setterfield is a must have for all bibliophiles. It's a gothic romance almost in the style of Bronte, but slightly more modern. It's also a haunting tale about the connection between twins, the love between siblings, and the power of books. <i>The Book Thief</i> by Marcus Zusak is a must read for anyone. It's a beautiful tale of World War II written in the POV of Death. <i>The Personifid Project</i> by RE Bartlett is one of the most amazing sci-fi books ever written. I think everyone should read it, as it's fun, action-packed, and yet gives you food for thought and pondering. <i>The Giver</i> by Lois Lowry. Oh my word, definitely a MUST READ. Amazing book that I promise will touch your very core... |

If you like sci-fi kinds of stuff, give Dean Koontz a try. I've never encountered anything very adult, though the subject matter is pretty dark. |

Twilight series by Stephanie Myers is amazing,if you like fantasy with vampires. 
If you read Christian fiction,I can suggest hundreds.....thats basically all I read,and it has some great fantasy,sci-fi,and historical stuff. |

Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi is an amazing book! I love it, heck, even Oprah loves it! The Kite Runner is another amazing book and his other book A Thousand Splendid Suns is wonderful, in fact, I think I liked A Thousand Splendid Suns better... The Sex Lives of Cannibals by J. Maarten Troost, I have to admit this is the funniest book I've ever read...in my life. About a Man and his Wife moving their lives to a remote Island in the Pacific and how they cope...or how they attempt to cope...hillarious. |

Lets see: Pretty much any book by Ursula K. LeGuin. Brilliant author. Hitch Hiker's Guide to The Galaxy by Douglas Adams. One of the funniest books I've ever read, and entirely well written. Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging by I don't know who. The title may make it sound trashy, but its actually quite a safe book, and its hilarious. Poison Study, Magic Study, and Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder. These books have some mature subjects, to warn you, but they are very good. House of the Scorpion. Read it. Its very good. |

Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. Reading you, you wouldn't realize that it's actually a Sci-fi, not fantasy... though it is a bit of politics. Harperhalls of Pern also by Anne McCaffrey. It's not as much about the politics, but I enjoyed this one more than Dragonriders. But this one is centered around one or two main characters while Dragonriders is a whole bunch(if you read this one, read Dragonriders first... less confusing) Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. This is a heart capturing story that's a known classic, and deffinantly worth reading, even if you've already seen the movie. Magic Kingdom for [s]Sale[/s] Sold by Terry Brooks(I believe). Really entertaining! That's all I have to say. Wow... just realized they're all a bit older books... lol |
