I've become addicted to books such as:
Go Ask Alice - Unknown
Impulse - Ellen Hopkins
Crank - Ellen Hopkins
Glass - Ellen Hopkins

And such, but now I'm running low on books to read. These books are mostly about rebellious teenagers and I guess, seeing as I've never been "rebellious", I think I like to read about others being rebellious. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm also on the lookout for some vampire books. I've already read the Twilight series, Vampireville series, and started the Marked series... so anyone know of any good ones?

^^ Thanks.

If you are into Vampires, You should really read Anne Rice, her words are just beautiful and sensous... it has some adult themes, but they are not graphic. I'd start with Interview with a Vampire, also Lestat and Queen of the Dam*ned

I know Robin McKinley has a vampire book - I haven't read it, but I believe it's called Sunshine.

I can't ever stop suggesting Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" series.

There ARE vampires in it...just not a main focus. :P But Harry Dresden is a wizard and it's just a brilliant (and hysterical) series. :P

Just a thought. :)

The adult themes are not that over the top... some of Anne Rice's novel are quite graphic, but I know Interview with a Vampire is safe... =)

I've liked what I have read so far. Currently I am on book four.

How many books are in the series now?

If you like vampires, check out the Night Watch series by Sergei Lutyanenko. They're actually really good, and the main character is a bit of a rebel too, as he has his own ideas of morality compared to who he works for. It's Modern day fantasy set in post soviet russia.

In reading order: Night Watch, Day Watch, Twilight Watch, Last Watch.

oh! Sounds lovely! a rebellious vampire! :D *Jots down all these lovely suggestions*

Has anyone read any of the books in my first post?

@Nienna: Ummmm, to be honest, I can't remember. :duh: It's something like ten or something. :P I haven't read them all, sadly. A new one came out last spring, and I think he's got one or two more planned for this coming spring/summer. (http://www.jim-butcher.com)

@Inwe: Well I'm glad I could be of help. What I really like about the Dresden Files is that it doesn't (at least to me) feel like a "typical" series. Meaning that I've never felt an urgent need to keep up and move on to the next book. Each one is good on its own. :)

Ooh! Tell me how you like it. I'm really intrigued as to how McKinley will interpret vampires.

I am almost done with book six. I am coming rather addicted to those books. Will make a note to visit the website. Actually, I think I read a few spoilers on wikipedia, but forgot to do a book count.

Hmmmmm, if you're looking for books about rebelious teens, you could try Tamora Pierce. The main characters of almost all her books are very headstrong. I would start with The Lioness Quartett, skip The Immortal Series (whose lead is a bit more subdued) and go strait to the Protector of the small. Those book are easy reads, so from there you could start reading Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen, or you could skip to The Circle of Magic Quartet.

Tamora Pierce is nothing short of amazing.
