Anyone read any books by Rosemary Sutcliff? She writes wonderful historical fiction. I recommend her!

Yes, I've just recently found out about her!! They're really great. I used to avoid her for some reason, still haven't figured out why.

Kitoky, two of her books are "Sword Song" and "The Lantern Bearers".

Yes, I have, but it was so many years ago that I just can't remember them that well. :( The titles are escaping me, too.

Here's some titles:
Dawn Wind
Sword at Sunset
Outcast
Song for a Dark Queen (or something along those lines)
Eagle of the Ninth
That's all I can remember at the moment.

I've read Eagle of the Ninth and The Shining Company by her, though I've had the chance to read The Silver Branch or whatever it's called. I have yet to take that chance, though.

I love Rosemary Sutcliff! On the last day of school, my Social Studies teacher tossed me a few books to read over the summer, and one of them was The Eagle of the Ninth. I was immediately hooked and read it three times in June. I now own it and it and the three other books in the series; The Silver Branch, The Lantern Bearers, and Sword at Sunset.
