I can't believe what Cornilia Funke had done in Inkspell! She killed of my fave character! *cries uncontrolbly*

Dustfinger dies? he DIES? he DIES?? *has a heart attack and dies as well*

I haven't read Inkspell yet, but I am planning to as soon as it gets to the library. I read Inkheart two years ago and Dustfinger is definitely my favorite character (I object to calling him 'Dusty' however...). how does he die?

I know its so horrible! What happens is Basta kills Farid with a knife in his back and Dustfinger makes a deal with the white women (inkspell world equivilant of the grim reaper) to take him instead. I never liked Farid anyway... :disgust:

O noooooo!!! That sounds horrible.. Poor Dusty.. I haven't read Inkspell, I'll have to wait for the translation. Or maybe I should try to read it in English.

:P :D sorry... call him whatever you want it's just one of my pet peeves....

that's a compelling sacrifice though. Dustfinger must have really seen some potential in Farid.

Oh ive only just finished inkspell this morning! i would rather dustfinger survive than farid! all he cares about is martens.. grrrr

The movie will probably be much faster paced than the books. They're still working on the script, but they've got Iain Softley to direct. No word on the cast, although there's widespread speculation about Brendan Fraser as Mo...he's done the audiobook series for Funke, and she's collaborating on ideas with him, since she lives in Los Angeles now.

I've decided and WML's word is final - dust finger has to be fit (WML's and SL's langauge for totally good looking if you don't know)!

Yeah, but it says he's meant to have a beard, meaning he's gonna be old, and he has kids.
