I had a guitar, but my music teacher borrowed (STOLE) it and never gave it back. She conveniently lives in another country now.

^Hehe, i'm not very motivated sometimes when I play either. Like this past week, I hardly practiced at all and it showed at lessons
So right now i'm motivated to practice alot, I want to impress my teacher next week at lessons

With these last numerals, we see the link Matte dial 1016 settling into a balanced look that will be carried forward into the future, rather than the puffy numerals of the earliest Matte dial examples. The Mark 1 is the first of the matte link dials, but it's also sometimes seen in later cases, though it's unclear if these are original. This watch has a serial number dating it to 1972.

One particularly rare flavor of the Milspec 1 uses bronze alloy cases instead of the usual steel. About 20 of these have been documented, all in an extremely tight serial link range from 3200 to 3246. The link case isn't actually bronze, but a similar-looking alloy designed to be anti-magnetic. Because of this link rarity and likely connection to the U.S. military, these watches can command a 10 or 15 percent premium over a steel Milspec. But, it's a niche within a niche, within a niche, so you never know.
