It seems, I hear alot about Utada Hikaru but I never hear her songs and it's always "Simple and Clean!" that I hear about.
Megumi Hayashibara is good, but she's REALLY overrated. She has good songs but she emphasizes her voice too much when she should just let the music play...
..Rumil.. --- I know you did NOT just copy and pasted to the thread title. I'll make it better since I've been used by a lazy moderator. lol

NO. I swear I did not copy and paste, I took the long ways.
Ok. I am so obsessed with HYD Liveaction and I just finished Episode 6, and the theme song rocks!
It's by the boy-band Arashi and it's called " WISH ".
Matsumoto Jun is in the liveaction, and he is also in the band.
Arashi is very good and I looove this song.

Psycho Le Cemu? I've definitely never heard of that one. I feel so deprived.
Is Aya-chan from Psycho Le Cemu?
Yeah, Japanese people can find other ways to express themselves without drugs. Like Lolita-ness.
And WHO is that cutey in your avvie?

Pyscho Le Cemu is a visual kei band. VERY colorful. Lots of crazyness. Aya is the one gasping.
Anyone like TM Revolution? I bought his cd a while ago, and I saw his music video on TV today for the song " Zips ". He is dance/techno.
THAT my friend, is Domoyouji Tsukasa of Hana Yori Dango. :: obsessed ::

Anyways, how cool is Orange Range? My favorite songs are Asterisk and "Viva Rock"

Oange Range, they are cool. I saw them on PopJapan TV and then started liking them.
They are very upbeat and happyish.
L'arc en ciel means ' rainbow ' in French.
yes, everything seems French! A couple of MM songs have French titles. Raison D'etre, I think is French.

I like X-Japan! They're shutting down the Hide museum in Japan!! That's sad..
Right now I am listening to Gackt's " Todokonai ai to shhietia no ni kirezu ni *beep*. "
How's that for a title?
Speaking of Hamasaki Ayumi, I was just listening to her songs " Will " and " Heaven" and " Bold and Delicious ". Very good.
Anyone like Otsuka Ai? I love her song " Planitarium ".

I never realized X-Japan was so popular until ..Rumil.. mentioned, and then I realized I had a song by them "Tears", I like Tears.
Ithilwen: Don't worry, you'll know all this stuff, we'll grow on ye.
Raison D'etre is french, [nods], the only Raison D'etre song I have is the ending theme to Chobits by Rie Tanaka.
I've never heard of Otsuka Ai, I'm afraid, ..Rumil..
Currently listening to "Bleach - Life is Like a Boat by Rie Fu"

Ahhh, I've only JUST found this topic!
Terrible.
Well, I'll have to sort of...answer it all in a single foul swoop. ^^;
I've heard of Malice Mizer, and I've got about two and a half album-full of songs. If anyone's interested, it was mainly the death of Kami that threw Malice Mizer off-track. Gackt left to follow a solo career just beforehand, and MM brought Klaha in, although a lot of the Gackt fanbase rejected Klaha somewhat.. >->;
Basically, they've all gone seperate ways to do their own thing, and there was a lot of disagreement and rivalry in the band toward the end of their careers.
But Mana has Moi Dix Mois, Gackt has a good, strong career as an artist, Kozi isn't doing badly, Yu~Ki's pretty much...totally disappeared...and Klaha's taken a break from his solo career with illness...
-breathes-
Ah, I know too much about J-Rock, it's terrible.
I've heard of all of the bands spoken about by the way! ^_^
Psycho Le Cemu are fantastic, have you ever heard Kagrra?
They remind me of one another.
I like bumpofchicken, and the only Orange Range song I've heard is Asterisk, because they used it for the Bleach theme. ^_^
Oh, and as for the French thing...
Just you try and think of a J-Rock band with a Japanese name.
It's near impossible!
Ahh, and as a last note...
If anyone does want to talk about J-Rock, get a few tracks of music, or PVs, then you can add me on MSN, or PM me and I'm happy to send some onward. ^_^

I like some. . . I like Maaya Sakamoto alot. ^-^ Besides that, I think I like anime soundtracks more. Y'know? I absolutely love Yoko Kanno's work. But I'm not too keen on the whole Jrock thingy, though I must admit Malice Mizers costumes are way cool.

I know what you mean. -smiles- A lot of anime themes are super-catchy, like the Bleach themes.
The openings are all good, some of the ending themes are utterly terrible. XD;
I'm a J-Rock person, myself...although I love the ballady music I can sing to...
I've got a major obsession with Niikura Kaoru...
-giggles-
I have a shrine to him on my windowsil:
