^That sounds fun. But I don't wanna start it...xD
Anyways, on the subject of lyrics and darkness, I just thought I'd toss my two cents in. I don't mind dark lyrics, as long as they're not nihilistic, because I've been through dark times, and I'm sure everyone else has. Pretty much I just think that Red's lyrics are simply honest, which I love. They're not trying to sugar-coat anything, they're not worried about whether they're being 'origanal' or not, they're not trying to make it darker than it is--they're just writing from their heart, and since God is a big part of their lives, obviously He's gonna pop into their lyrics.

I'd love to do the banner too, though it will be about two hours before I could do anything. In other words, I think Rose should start it, and then she can send it to Estel, who can send it to me, who can send it back to Rose.

I agree completely, Estel. I absolutely love the honesty of their lyrics - the gritty reality that is presented, the place we all live in. And none of it is without hope. There is always the star glimmering in the dust and the dirt and the darkness... their songs are never hopeless. They sing from a dark place that recognizes light, and that believes we can all find it.

haha I guess I'll start it, then! I've looked for pictures everywhere, though, and there aren't any at all.  If any of you have a secret stash of pictures, or a resource where I can find some, that would be very nice indeed.
Tariel: I might as well post them here so everyone can see!  My dad took them, because I was too busy rocking out. There are only a few non-blury ones, but I have some great quality TFK ones from the same day.

Those are actually some very nice Skillet pictures, especially considering they're concert shots. LOVE the one with the steam going! I'm guessing this was on the Comatose tour?

*squees* I'm so using the Innocence and Instinct album cover, and that alone. We can do so much with that! *ish excited* Thank you for the pics! I'll send it to Esteleth once I have it ready.
That steam one is one of my favorites as well! My favorite is that gorgeous close up of of John (the one below Ben)! I have no idea how my dad got that, but I'm so in love. Yup, this was part of the Comatose tour. That was the second time I saw them, and I still remember how their encore song was the same as the year before. _________________

Yeah, I thought that could be useful. Not to mention that it's just cool - I love all the design of the Innocence and Instinct stuff (their new site layout, new MySpace layout, etc.).
So I guessed. Yes, that is a pretty awesome picture. I've only seen them once, and it was one of the best nights of my life - I was right pressed up against the stage. I have a LOT of pictures that someone at my school took and posting on facebook - I could post those if you wanted.  I'm in a lot of them, because I was like right by Ben.  And yeah, I'm hoping they change up the setlist for the new tour this year.
...should we take this to the Skillet thread?

Oh, I know! That design is so drool worthy.  I sent to Estie, but I don't know if my lovely PM box will send it. It's been acting really weird for a while.  If it doesn't send, or she doesn't come on, then I'll send it to you so we can start working on it. Only one more day is left!

OK then. I have a dinner to go to tonight (I can't believe I promised I'd go...) but aside from that I'll be able to take breaks from homework at any time to work on it.
I wonder who does their graphic design; it's so good. That would be a really fun job...

I'm pretty much finished up with everything I have to do today. This evening I'm going to watch a movie, but besides that I'm free.
