The Who - The Seeker

I've looked under chairs
I've looked under tables
I've tried to find the key
To fifty million fables

chorus:
They call me The Seeker
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I asked Bobby Dylan
I asked The Beatles
I asked Timothy Leary
But he couldn't help me either

chorus

People tend to hate me
'Cause I never smile
As I ransack their homes
They want to shake my hand

Focusing on nowhere
Investigating miles
I'm a seeker
I'm a really desperate man

I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I learned how to raise my voice in anger
Yeah, but look at my face, ain't this a smile?
I'm happy when life's good
And when it's bad I cry
I've got values but I don't know how or why

I'm looking for me
You're looking for you
We're looking in at each other
And we don't know what to do

chorus

Im gonna close my body now

I guess, die another day
I guess, die another day
I guess, die another day
I guess, die another day

I guess Ill die another day
[another day]
I guess Ill die another day
[another day]
I guess Ill die another day
[another day]
I guess Ill die another day

Sigmund freud
Analyze this
Analyze this
Analyze this

Im gonna break the cycle
Im gonna shake up the system
Im gonna destroy my ego
Im gonna close my body now

Uh, uh

I think Ill find another way
Theres so much more to know
I guess Ill die another day
Its not my time to go

For every sin, Ill have to pay
Ive come to work, Ive come to play
I think Ill find another way
Its not my time to go

Im gonna avoid the cliche
Im gonna suspend my senses
Im gonna delay my pleasure
Im gonna close my body now

I guess, die another day
I guess Ill die another day
I guess, die another day
I guess Ill die another day

I think Ill find another way
Theres so much more to know
I guess Ill die another day
Its not my time to go

Uh, uh

(laugh)

I guess, die another day
I guess Ill die another day
I guess, die another day
I guess Ill die another day

Another day
(repeat six times)

The War Was In Color by Carbon Leaf

I see you've found a box of my things -
Infantries, tanks and smoldering airplane wings.
These old pictures are cool. Tell me some stories
Was it like the old war movies?
Sit down son. Let me fill you in

Where to begin? Let's start with the end
This black and white photo don't capture the skin
From the flash of a gun to a soldier who's done
Trust me grandson
The war was in color

From shipyard to sea, From factory to sky
From rivet to rifle, from boot camp to battle cry
I wore the mask up high on a daylight run
That held my face in its clammy hand
Crawled over coconut logs and corpses in the coral sand

Where to begin? Let¹s start with the end
This black and white photo don't capture the skin
From the shock of a shell or the memory of smell
If red is for Hell
The war was in color

I held the canvas bag over the railing
The dead released, with the ship still sailing,
Out of our hands and into the swallowing sea
I felt the crossfire stitching up soldiers
Into a blanket of dead, and as the night grows colder
In a window back home, a Blue Star is traded for Gold.

Where to begin? Let's start with the end
This black and white photo don't capture the skin
When metal is churned. And bodies are burned
Victory earned
The War was in color

Now I lay in my grave at age 21
Long before you were born
Before I bore a son
What good did it do?
Well hopefully for you
A world without war
A life full of color

Where to begin? Let's start with the end
This black and white photo never captured my skin
Once it was torn from an enemy thorn
Straight through the core
The war was in color

Where to begin? Let's start with the end
This black and white photo never captured my skin
From the flash of a gun to a soldier who's done
Trust me grandson
The war was in color

Koda Kumi - Real Emotion~English (opening theme for Final Fantasy X-2)

What can I do for you?

What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
I can't hear you...
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?

Never thought that I would wind up myself
You got all my wild...
Imagination
But I hear, I am finding myself so lost
Everyday is a way, for me to turn back

All of the things I see
They're different from
What I had imagined they would be
Everything is different
Now I'm getting dizzy spells

It's real emotion
Shaking up the world
I'll never give it up
I don't ever want to lose, this far
No more than I can do but I am just too wrong
And in my heart I can hear you say
That I am not alone

What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
I can't hear you...
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?

Never got to look back
I'm already here
Cause you gave me faith
I'm on my own now
If anything happens unexpectedly
I know you are there
To come and save me

What do I do now?
What can I do now?
For the truth that you have made me see
All that I can do now
Is believe in what I feel

It's real emotion
Shaking up the world
I'll be forever blessed
For you to stand by me
Thank you for
So many things you tell me
That's why I am here
You gave me strength and now I know
That I am not alone

What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?

What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
I can't hear you...

It's real emotion
Shaking up the world
You're always here with me
So deep in my heart
And I, am near
Beside you where you need me
Since I'm finally strong
Just close your eyes and you'll see me here
'Cause you are not alone

It's real emotion
Shaking up the world
I'll never give it up
I don't ever want to lose, this far
No more than I can do but I am just too wrong
And in my heart I can hear you say
That I am not alone

What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
I can't hear you...
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
What can I do for you?
I can't hear you...

I can't hear you...

Rascal Flatts "My Wish"

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walking till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,
But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
This, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but you never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.
But more than anything, more than anything,

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
This, is my wish

Tarot - Rider Of The Last Day

The flesh is weak, the bones are brittle, the blood is thin.
I'm a father, brother, lover to all you sisters of sin.
My soul was never sold, I gave it away for free.
No conscience worries, just me.

I'm the rider of the last day.
The rider of the last day.
Better lose your dreams on me.
They were wasted anyway.

The stars are my brothers, they're calling me to shine.
Into the deep dark cold, all this emptiness is mine.
Here's my hand, take it and I'll share it all with you.
There are no saviours but one and you know who.

I'm the rider...

Bathe in the coolness of meteor rain.
Walk unscarred through the bullet hail.
Feet in the mud, fist to the sky.
Draw strength from the lightning spitting my eye.

Lost from holiness, I couldn't care less.
Drudgery for the masses of the hopeless.
Wide-eyed hypnosis, just stare your life away.
Build in my castle from your shreds,
burn it down on judgement day.

I'm the rider...

Waitin' For A Superman - Iron & Wine

Asked you a question
I didn't need you to reply
Is it gettin' heavy?
But they'll realize
Is it gettin' heavy?
Well I thought it was already as heavy
As can be

Is it overwhelming
To use a crane to crush a fly?
It's a good time for Superman
To lift the sun into the sky

'Cause it's gettin' heavy
Well I thought it was already as heavy
As can be

Tell everybody
Waitin' for Superman
That they should try to hold on
Best they can
He hasn't dropped them
Forgot them
Or anything
It's just too heavy for Superman to lift

Is it gettin' heavy?
Well I thought it was already as heavy as can be.

Tell everybody
Waitin' for Superman
That they should try to hold on
Best they can
He hasn't dropped them
Forgot them
Or anything
It's just too heavy for Superman to lift

The Mummers' Dance

When in the springtime of the year
When the trees are crowned with leaves
When the ash and oak, and the birch and yew
Are dressed in ribbons fair

When owls call the breathless moon
In the blue veil of the night
The shadows of the trees appear
Amidst the lantern light

We've been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
And now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

Who will go down to those shady groves
And summon the shadows there?
And tie a ribbon on those sheltering arms
In the springtime of the year?

The songs of birds seem to fill the wood
That when the fiddler plays
All their voices can be heard
Long past their woodland days

We've been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
And now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

And so they linked their hands and danced
'Round in circles and in rows
And so the journey of the night descends
When all the shades are gone

A garland gay we bring you here
And at your door we stand
It is a sprout well budded out
The work of Our Lord's hand

We've been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
And now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

We've been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
And now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

^Great song

The Highwayman - Loreena McKennitt

The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees
The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon the cloudy seas
The road was a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor
And the highwayman came riding, riding, riding,
The highwayman came riding, up to the old inn-door.

He'd a French cocked hat on his forehead, a bunch of lace at his chin,
A coat of claret velvet, and breeches of brown doe-skin;
They fitted with never a wrinkle; his boots were up to the thigh
And he rode with a jewelled twinkle,
His pistol butts a-twinkle,
His rapier hilt a-twinkle, under the jewelled sky.

Over the cobbles he clattered and clashed in the dark innyard,
And he tapped with his whip on the shutters, but all was locked and barred;
He whistled a tune to the window, and who should be waiting there
But the landlord's black-eyed daughter,
Bess, the landlord's daughter,
Plaiting a dark red love-knot into her long black hair.

"One kiss, my bonny sweetheart, I'm after a prize tonight,
But I shall be back with the yellow gold before the morning light;
Yet if they press me sharply, and harry me through the day,
Then look for me by the moonlight, watch for me by the moonlight,
I'll come to thee by the moonlight, though hell should bar the way.

He rose upright in the stirrups; he scarce could reach her hand
But she loosened her hair in the casement! His face burnt like a brand
As the black cascade of the perfume came tumbling over his breast;
And he kissed its waves in the moonlight,
(Oh, sweet waves in the moonlight!)
He tugged at his rein in the moonlight, and galloped away to the west.

He did not come at the dawning; he did not come at noon,
And out of the tawny sunset, before the rise o' the moon,
When the road was a gypsy's ribbon, looping the purple moor,
A red-coat troop came marching, marching, marching
King George's men came marching, up to the old inn-door.

They said no word to the landlord, they drank his ale instead,
But they gagged his daughter and bound her to the foot of her narrow bed;
Two of them knelt at the casement, with muskets at their side
there was death at every window, hell at one dark window;
For Bess could see, through the casement,
The road that he would ride.

They had tied her up to attention, with many a sniggering jest;
They had bound a musket beside her, with the barrel beneath her breast
"now keep good watch!" And they kissed her.
She heard the dead man say
"Look for me by the moonlight, watch for me by the moonlight
I'll come to thee by the moonlight, though hell should bar the way!"

She twisted her hands behind her, but all the knots held good
She writhed her hands till her fingers were wet with sweat or blood
They stretched and strained in the darkness and the hours crawled by like years
Till, now, on the stroke of midnight, cold, on the stroke of midnight,
The tip of one finger touched it! The trigger at least was hers!

Tlot-tlot! Had they heard it? The horses hoofs ring clear
Tlot-tlot, in the distance! Were they deaf that they did not hear?
Down the ribbon of moonlight, over the brow of the hill,
The highwayman came riding, riding, riding!
The red-coats looked to their priming!
She stood up straight and still!

Tlot in the frosty silence! Tlot, in the echoing night
Nearer he came and nearer! Her face was like a light
Her eyes grew wide for a moment! She drew one last deep breath,
Then her finger moved in the moonlight, her musket shattered the moonlight,
Shattered her breast in the moonlight and warned him with her death.

He turned; he spurred to the west; he did not know she stood
bowed, with her head o'er the musket, drenched with her own red blood
Not till the dawn he heard it; his face grew grey to hear
How Bess, the landlord's daughter, the landlord's black-eyed daughter,
Had watched for her love in the moonlight, and died in the darkness there.

And back, he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky
With the white road smoking behind him and his rapier brandished high
Blood-red were the spurs in the golden noon; wine-red was his velvet coat,
when they shot him down on the highway, down like a dog on the highway,
And he lay in his blood on the highway, with the bunch of lace at his throat.

Still of a winter's night, they say, when the wind is in the trees,
When the moon is a ghostly galleon, tossed upon the cloudy seas,
When the road is a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor,
A highwayman comes riding, riding, riding,
A highwayman comes riding, up to the old inn-door.

English Translation

Your vague gestures always confuses me
I might as well put an end to that false relationship
"[I'm a] pure girl"; way back then I yearned for you
I always needed you

Precious night, those nights we spent together
Once again, if we could go back [in time] once again,
we should be able to forget even the mistakes of the past

*Crazy, yes, I gazed at only you forever
I even seemed to forget about the time passing by
I always love you
Baby Trust you, I demand
Even if I waited forever, you turn around
I'm not a girl that you can just make dance around
You stroke my hair, I'm seeking the warmth of your hands

If this earth always moves
because of only the things that we are certain about, it's ok not to regret
You appear to be kind to everyone
That's how you are, so I can't be apart from you, yeah

No matter how we look,
when we're together, you look at me
Being caressed like a child, I'll be falling in a trap again

Crazy, I can't balance anymore, hold me
Our relationship is not such a game
When you're not my everything,
even if you tell me to Trust You,
my heart can't stop, before I look
no one can change you, & you're here
I want you to stroke my hair, feeling only my warmth

Precious love
Once again

we should be able to forget even the mistakes of the past

*repeat

(($ = S))

[x] The Big Rock -- by Máire Brennan

We'll build on this rock
A tower so high
Let your love surround me
Light my life to carry on
We'll build on this rock

Criosta ó cumhdaigh mé
Criosta coimhéad mé
Criosta coinnigh mé
Criosta an Ri
Criosta ó treorai mé
Criosta óteagasc mé

A banner of peace
A prayer to be free
Let your love surround me
Light my heart to carry on

We'll build on this rock

Call Me When You're Sober - Evanescence

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

Should I let you fall?
Lose it all?
So maybe you can remember yourself.
Can't keep believing,
We're only deceiving ourselves .
And I'm sick of the lie,
And you're too late.

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

Couldn't take the blame.
Sick with shame.
Must be exhausting to lose your own game.
Selfishly hated,
No wonder you're jaded.
You can't play the victim this time,
And you're too late.

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

You never call me when you're sober.
You only want it cause it's over,
It's over.

How could I have burned paradise?
How could I - you were never mine.

So don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
Don't lie to me,
Just get your things.
I've made up your mind.

((This song is a PERFECT example of my relationship with my father.))

Dead - My Chemical Romance

And if your heart stops beating
I'll be there wondering
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life

And if you get to Heaven
I'll be here waiting, baby
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life won't wait
Then your heart can't take this hell

You heard the news that you're dead
No one ever had much nice to say
I think I never liked you anyway
You're dead
Free from the hospital bed
Wouldn't it be grand
It ain't exactly what you planned
And wouldn't it be great if
We were dead

All Dead!

So tired and oh so squeamish
You never fell in love
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life

And if you get to Heaven
I'll be here waiting, baby
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life won't wait
Then your heart can't take this hell

You heard the news that you're dead
No one ever had much nice to say
I think I never liked you anyway
You're dead
Free from the hospital bed
Wouldn't it be grand
Take a pistol by the hand
And wouldn't it be great if
We were dead

And in my honest observation
To ring this operation
Found a complication
In your heart, so long
Cause now you've got
Maybe just two weeks to live
Is that the most, the most that you can give?

One, Two, One Two Three Four
La la la la la,
La la la la la,
La la la la la,
La la la la la,
La la la la la,
La la la la la,

If life ain't just a joke
Then why are we laughing?
Ain't just a joke
Then why are we laughing?
Ain't just a joke
Then why are we laughing?
Ain't just a joke
Then why am I dead?

Dead!

I saw you on the bus and that was that
There’s more to this than passing by
There’s more to this than meets the eye

I tell you what it’s going to be like
I saw you on the bus, I saw your shoes
They fell apart some time ago,
I’ll buy some more in 5 years

It’s not my fault, I don’t care
I don’t regret a single thing

It’s not my fault, I don’t care
I don’t regret a single thing

I tell you what it’s going to feel like
You’ve lost a limb and you can feel it
Itch you late, at night, not by my side
‘Cos I’m not there to hold you too tight

I tell you what it’s going to be like
Well you can never hold my hand in public
They can’t know or understand
That you and me are now together

It’s not my fault, I don’t care
I don’t regret a single thing

It’s not my fault, I don’t care
I don’t regret a single thing

You can have it all if that’s alright
And I will give it all to you ‘cos you never fight
You can have it all if that’s alright
And know that you can have it all if it’s alright

It’s not my fault, I don’t care
I don’t regret a single thing

It’s not my fault, I don’t care
I don’t regret a single thing

You can have it all if that’s alright
And I will give it all to you ‘cos you never fight
Before that you could have it all if that’s alright
And I would give it all to you ‘cos you never fight
Before that you could have it all if that’s alright
If it’s alright

How to Save a Life -- the Fray

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

How to save a life
How to save a life

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

How to save a life

Turisas - One More

Gathered round the wooden table
Same tavern as the nights before
I brace myself against the gable
Sunlight pushes its way through the gap in the door

As the golden sunbeams reach my eyes
I stand up and raise my pint up high

One more for our brothers who fought beside us
One more and forward again
Once more, we'll fight and conquer
Until we'll meet again

Staring at the stools not taken
I reach for my tankard of ale
The silence remains unbroken
All you hear is a tinkle of mail

As the golden sunbeams reach my eyes
I stand up and raise my pint up high

One more for our brothers...

Like a raging thunderstorm we flew down the forested hill
Tree-trunks and rocks passing by
The endless ranks stood waiting out in the open field
My fingers gripped the handle of my sword

With full power we smashed into their lines
The ground shook, swords tasted flesh
Hooves trampling over men screaming for their lives
The battle raged until both troops were threshed

Grief no more over friends who died
That day will come to us all
Until then we shall fight with pride
Raise our pints till the dawn

Grief no more over friends who died
That day will come to us all
Side by side we shall ride once more
When the Horn calls for War

Feeling low and heavy hearted
Interrupted by a distant alarm
Seems like the war has started
May it be for our brothers in arms

Once again the golden sunbeam reaches my eyes
I stand up and raise my sword up high

One more for our brothers...

Let him call me a tyrant so cruel
Let him curse my name, but remember the truth!
