I've heard of quite a few of those bands, many of the people I work with are obsessed with them

Ok, basically I just want to know if there's anyone out there that likes ANY of these bands that I love: -Green River -Mother Love Bone -Fugazi -Minor Threat -Minutemen -Mission of Burma -L7 -Hovercraft -Pixies -the Breeders -Le Tigre -Black Flag -Dinosaur Jr -Mudhoney -Screaming Trees -Sonic Youth -Afghan Whigs -Beat Happening -the Melvins -the Butthole Surfers -Big Black -Husker Du I know that's a lot. But they're seriously good bands. |

I went through a big Sub Pop/Grunge/Seattle/ect phase about 14/15 years ago. A like a lot of the bands you mentioned, in particular L7, Black Flag and Screaming Trees. |

I love Fugazi and the Pixies!! My sisters were obsessed with them and all of a sudden I got into them as badly  I like Le Tigre too. Kathleen Hannah is awesome!

Mark's really talented. My favorite vocalist will always probably be Robert Plant or Layne Staley

Layne Staley's voice was just so fantastic. He could be soft, harsh and haunting. Sometimes all at the same time. |

I definately agree. Seems like his voice is also imitated a lot. And I remember laughing when I heard a comment he made about how lame Stone Temple Pilots were. He could be really funny. |

Stone Temple Pilots were really lame lol They seemed to imitate a different band/sound with every movement. They copied Pearl Jam, AIC, Soundgarden to name just three. Layne really could be so funny. I have on tape somewhere an AIC special when they were in New Orleans. They really ripped on Rikki Rachtman the whole time. Class. What do you make of the AIC with the new singer? |
