If not then you should look it up. Bands would include: Rhapsody, Dragonforce, Falconer, Blind Guardian, Luca Turilli, Dream Evil, Sonata Arctica, Demons and Wizards, Kamelot, Hammerfall and many others that I just can't think of right now. I've gotten quite a few people into power metal via listening to Dragonforce. For a sample you can go to their website www.dragonforce.com and at the top of the screen they have some of their songs you can sample. Also, Blind Guardian sings some stuff about Lotr and has some songs you can get from their site: www.blind-guardian.com. Or you could just look them up and check them all out. They're all great!

Only heard of it because y'all were talking about it in a thread on here  I believe the only band I've heard that could be considered power metal is Nightwish, but they're quite cool  _________________

ok I've become obsessed with the music of DragonForce overnight. Seriously, I can't stop listening to it now. Wow, they're beyond awesome... so melodic, AHHH! lol. Wow, I think I'm a fan

OOOOOHHH!!!! Just downloaded Apostles of Darkness by Dragon force,and am listening now......
