Music is a matter of taste. TBH i don't mind what ppl listen to as long as they don't force it upon me. And some hip hop i like, such as Rapper's Delight by Sugar Hill Gang, great song.

Rap is constantly forced upon me, my brother at 5:30 AM with the speakers at max volume AGAINST MY BEDROOM WALL, every kid in my class- I'm disliked by most of the people because of my music tastes. This has made my bitterly dispise that music.

I think I have opened up antoher can of worms.

I am so glad that there is someone else here who agrees with me! I very much dislike rap, R&B, and hip-hop today. The original stuff, especially the rap from way back when, I can listen to (but rarely). Today's stuff, is just...yuck. It's all the same, no rythm or beat...just a stupid base and how many people they did last night. Yuck. That definately isn't music to my ears. And I am SO much more of a classic rock fan and lots of different stuff too!

rap? all i can say is: it annoys me. i'm going to say some pretty not-so-nice things abour rap, so just remember that this is only my opinion. k...so all you rap lovers out there, please don't kill me!!

rap is hardly music at all!! it's just a guy talking to some beat that isn't really a beat! there are no notes: they speak like robots! and the words make no sense at all. everything about rap annoys me.

I used to like rap. For some dumb reason. I still like Eminem, for some reason..

Now rap is just.. Annoying. Everything they rap about has nothing to do with my life, so I prefer not to listen to it. I can understand what they're saying [and that's just from listening to heavy metal music]; which is worse than not knowing what they're saying at all.

Rap is disgusting. I've heard many rap songs where they talk about /rape/ and all this bad stuff about women. Ugh.

I hate rap sooooo much. and rnb, hip hop and all the others. they just have a naff beat, some rubbish about sex or drugs or something (when you can work out what they're saying in between the street talk) and the worst videos ever.
Rap music makes me want to SCREAM!!!!!! very loudly.
anyone hear heard The Streets? that is just a guy talking. And people say he's a musical genius...grrr...

Whoever invented, rap, or r'n'b, or dance, or whatever they call it these days, should be squashed into a tub of bananas and have them thrust up their nostrils. Honestly, it's amazing how people can listen to that and call it music!

WOOHOO!!!! People who agree with me!! Rap is talking on top of something barely resembling music. Rap today is about such gross stuff, how many cops you killed, how women you have slept with, how bad my life was before I had enough money to get diamonds set in my teeth, how much fun it is to get high, etc. It's just nasty. Plot lines:

I do like older stuff, like M.C. Hammer, and a few current artists, like Will Smith. But I would rather listen to Pink Floyd.

To all those rap fans: I do not mean to offend you. This is merely my opinion.

Try not to lump all those music styles into one category; they are actually quite different from each other.

i dont liek rap..its one music that a metal head cant stand..its so annoying..and all they ever talk about is how much they like to drink or how much they want to have sex with you..i mean how uneducational is that..Rap is one of the most ridiculous kinds of music out there..i mean which one would you rather listen to..people sing about dead kindish stuff with really good guiatars and drums or hear really annoying sex talk with stupid effects??

I don't like rap, too. I see I'm not the only one.

Im not a rap fan either... I hate the lyrics and their meanings. I like smooth, postive, fast, and clean music... such as classical, Jazz, oldies, rock, and Enya!

I'm not really a rap/ hip-hop fan, but there are some groups/artists I think are okay... I think that Outkast has some really original work and I think the Black Eyed Peas are ok, but that's pretty much where I stop...
