Anyone here like Meatloaf (the singer not the food, lol) or is this just another example of my crazy taste in music? :P

I don't normally go for this type of music, but I've been around his music for years, so that may have something to do with it.

Currently obsessing over I'd Do Anything For Love. :D

Hahahah... umm sorry, but Meatloaf.... lol. I could never figure out whether he was serious or had heaps of self-irony... whichever is great to me!!
I listened to some of his stuff when it came out many years ago... Bat Out of Hell and I'd Do Anything For Love and watched his crazy music videos with flying motor cycles!!
I'm so happy for you Gimli... I think it's great you're a fan and it makes me want to listen to him now!!! :P

Well I'm not much into music videos and it's safe to safe, he's quite scary to watch when he performs a song. :P I just really like the music. There are some really powerful instrumental sections in his songs.

MEATLOAF!!!

Ha ha ha ha! Oh god, this dates me a bit. :P Meatloaf rocks! :bones:
My cousin and I got the records (like actual records...vinyls) of "Bat Out Of Hell." :P Ha ha ha ha! She's the only one with a record player now. As my dad's doesn't work properly. ;)
But I still love Meatloaf!

And he like released something recently didn't he? Anyway, there was an article on him in Newsweek when he did. And I loved it. :P YAY!!!

You are not alone, Ms. JF! ;)

Yayayayayayay!

Who better to have for company in this dark corner of AU, singing along to Bat Out Of Hell than teh Monty?!

Ooh, vinyls... I remember them... *eyes glaze in memory* ... I don't think we bought a lot (although we have loads in the attic) but my brother bought a Meatloaf record once... or was that Queen? Can't remember. Too long ago. :P

I'm not sure. He may have done. I know he's released like a gazillion albums with Bat Out Of Hell in the title, although he won't be able to anymore, he's lost the rights to thre song or something. :-(

He lost the rights??? I thought he was the Bat... poor guy....

And vinyl you say.. what is that... actually I should be so old that I could remember... I think my dad has some vinyls but our player never worked. And I had no idea Meatloat would release on vinyl... sweet!

"I would do aaaanything for loove but I wont do thaaat."
That's the only bit of the text I can remember.. what it is he wont do... I mean if he'll do anything....? So confusing! :P

Oooooh Meatloaf! Me ish addicted to Paradise by the dashboard lights! I just love to dance on that song.

"Before we go any further do you love me? Will you love me forever? Do you need me? Will you never leave ? Will you make me so happy for the rest of my life? Will you take me away? Will you make me your wife?"

Woohoo!

*does a happy dance* :kick:

@ Ea - No there's a gut called Jim Sterner or something who writes all his songs and they fell out or something, so now he can't sing it anymore or something like that. :P

I think the "that" is referring to cheating on his girl even if he loves another. I think. ;)

@ Will - Hehe, I quite like that one as well. :D

I've just dug out an old CD, and I am currently addicted to a "Kiss is a terrible thing to waste" and "I'd lie for you and that's the truth".
