A "guilty pleasure" song: a) it's not from a genre that you normally enjoy. ...and/or... b) it's from a musical artist that you have despised in the past or currently do. ...and/or... c) you just can't bring yourself to admit to anyone that you like it ...and/or... d) there is no logical reason for you to like this particular music other than you simply....do. this thread is simple. admit your guilty pleasure song music. trust me, it helps . YOU ARE NOT ALONE! mine is *takes deep breath* Love in this Club, by Usher. i can't even bring myself to add it onto my zune; it's just laying around on my computer... whew. i feel better. ![]() |

Ahaha, mine is See you Again and Seven Things by Miley Cyrus.... that is not something a 19 year old college studen would admit... though in all fairness, I am a girl so that should give some credit ^^ |

oh there are lots of such songs for me... I can only listen to them when family's asleep or away and I'm home alone. |

Haha I think Rap/Hip-hop is my guilty pleasure, although my mom and brother know about it. The songs chock full of dirty words take the cake. Which is awful, but hey. ![]() I love songs with a driving beat and lots of bass. My mom says it's ruining my hearing, and it probably is, but whatever. I like to be able to move to a song, and some of the rap/hip hop songs are great for that. |

^ OMG I love A-Teens! That first album they did is awesome. I still play it fairly often. Man, I say play what makes you happy. I'm embarassed to have Britney Spears on my itunes, but whatever. I can't stand her, but I like some of the music. |

Gay for Johnny Depp and BWO are my two current ones, though I do listen sometimes to those terrible popular songs they play at school if they get stuck in my head. ![]() |

As for me... *looks around to make sure the room is empty* When I'm alone... I like to listen to heavy metal sometimes... *waits nearby with a bucket of water for when everyone faints when they read this* |

*head hangs low* So, just for a musical background, I tend to listen to a wide variety of music, from traditional music to Indie stuff. However, I like to stay away from the teeny-bop music ( No offense if anyone listens to that...) I really dislike Justin Timberlake's music career, he's fine as a person, but his music, Erlack! And plus, I really don't like listening to that mainstream of music. But, I absolutely love listening to "What goes around/...comes around"! It's so catchy! However, I really shouldn't be that ashamed because a guy from work brought it in to listen to... Hehehe! ABBA! We have ABBA night at work.... ![]() |

I honestly can't think of one thing I'm ashamed of. I used to be terribly ashamed of some of my musical past pre-metal years. But I got older and began to care less and less what people thought of me. |

oh, a*teens! my mom has their second CD somewhere, full of sugary bubblegum Scandinavian pop. i'm ashamed of liking random hip hop/R&B songs just because of the content... |

I'm not embarrassed or ashamed of anything I like. You can't help what music you like and you shouldn't have to explain yourself or give a good reason as to why you like a particular song or artist. I have plenty of guilty pleasures - but I proudly call them so and don't hide them away ![]() |

Okay, I admit that I am an addicted Fall Out Boy fan... it's just, some of their lyrics are 'unappropriate' and I can't listen to them while anyone is around... so it's like a little secret. Shh.. ![]() And same thing with Three Days Grace and their song "Riot"... but people know I love them, so that's not a secret. |

Hmm... I find all of these "because of the content" comments interesting. I've never cared about the content, as long as the music speaks to me. Basically, the only music I consider a "guilty pleasure" is the stuff that my parents would object to. |
