I don't think I've ever started a thread for a band here, but the band I just discovered deserves a thread in AU. :) He Is We is a simple, unknown acoustic band with killer female vocals. Their songs are all very poetic, powerful, and lean towards the sad side. Simply put, they're addicting.

If you're interested, here's the link to their Purevolume page. I highly recommend A Mess It Grows, Pour Me Out, Radio, and His Name.

WOW.

Just listened to "Pour Me Out," and it's... wow. The vocals are absolutely stunning. Very unique lyrics-- I love how their lyrics are poetry. I will definitely have to look into them more.

I had a feeling you'd like them. ;) Pour Me Out has been my favorite song for the past week and I can't get over how much it describes my life.

Tariel and Estie, in case you're interest, He Is We just put up all of their demos for download on absolutepunk.net! I'm thrilled to no end and am currently waiting for the songs to download. :)

Ohmyword ohmyword. Downloading now.

Hmm, I can't wait to see what songs there are...

XD We're like musical triplets or something. Lol.

I'm really mad. Whenever I try to download the folder, it says it's invalid or corrupt. :disgust: Does it work for either of you? If so, I was think that maybe I could find a way to get them by email or something. I'm a desperate fan here. :-P

D= It worked perfectly for me...I don't really know that much about downloads, so I probably won't be able to help much =[ But I could try emailing them to you, if you want. *shrug*

Turns out all my favorite songs by them happened to be included in their old demos. So Esteleth is one happy person. XD

Never mind. I decided to try to download the songs one last time, and it finally worked today! I shrieked. Literally. :-P I have all of their songs except for Happily Ever After (normal version). I don't especially like it because the song is too high for her voice, but I did decided to get the acoustic version from their purevolume. If it's He Is We, I guess it has to be awesome. ;)

I found this yesterday and was completely blown away. I guess Rachel wrote a song for the Washington Army National Guard called "Bring Me Rain", and it's set to a slideshow on the Washington Army Guard official website. Wow. I don't know whether to cry or smile, it's so gorgeous.

*double post*

Have you guys heard the new songs? Light a Way is on their purevolume, a section of Lovey Love is on their facebook. Unfortunately, I'm not at all happy with them. I don't like the way they're headed. WAY too peppy and sappy, as compared with Pour Me Out and I Wouldn't Mind. (aka not in minor keys)

I don't like the new ones. I didn't even finish the section of "Lovey Love"-- it just about made me ill. :-P Dramatic and sad and minor? Bring it. Sappy? Count me out.

But I've been listening to their older stuff a LOT lately. Loving it. :)

I completely agree! I barely finished Lovey Love, too. Light a Way just doesn't work for me, and even though it's on my iPod, I barely listen to it. What has become of my dearly beloved band?? I shall do my best to keep Pour Me Out as the #1 played song on my iPod. :-P

I'm going to intrude on this conversation, if you don't mind. :P I gave Pour Me Out and I Wouldn't Mind a good listen. REALLY good songs. The vocals wonderful! Will be downloading those songs. I'll trust you guys about the new stuff though. That's so sad, when good bands go in a wrong direction.

I don't mind at all, keyodie! I'm always glad to recruit new He Is We fans. :-P I was, and still am, obsessed with their old demos. When Happily Ever After and Light A Way were released, I was really disappointed. Their EP should be coming out in the next few months, so I guess we'll see if they've officially gone in the wrong direction.

I hope not, they showed a lot of potential. I'll try downloading their old album.

They do indeed have so much going for them. I hope they don't waste it on fluff! :)

I feel kind of inspired by this. Any of you graphic makers interested?

And...a double post.

Ahem. He Is We has released ALL of their songs for download, including two new tracks, some remastered acoustic versions, and a hidden song. :bounce: The new songs are about a billion times better than Light a Way and Lovey Love, so don't worry about them being too sappy. ;) They are available for download off their facebook page, and here: http://heiswe.bandcamp.com/album/old-demos

Be sure to tell me what you think! :-D Oh, and their EP is out in March. w00t!

EDIT

Breathe is stunning. Wow. :swoon: The lyrics to Too Beautiful are so... :swoon: Just get them. ;)
