Post subject:  Have you heard of this genre of music?
If not then you should look it up. Bands would include: Rhapsody, Dragonforce, Falconer, Blind Guardian, Luca Turilli, Dream Evil, Sonata Arctica, Demons and Wizards, Kamelot, Hammerfall and many others that I just can't think of right now. I've gotten quite a few people into power metal via listening to Dragonforce. For a sample you can go to their website www.dragonforce.com and at the top of the screen they have some of their songs you can sample. Also, Blind Guardian sings some stuff about Lotr and has some songs you can get from their site: www.blind-guardian.com. Or you could just look them up and check them all out. They're all great!

Only heard of it because y'all were talking about it in a thread on here :p I believe the only band I've heard that could be considered power metal is Nightwish, but they're quite cool :)

I can't wait to see them and Edguy at the end of this month. Then the tough decision will be DragonForce shirt or Edguy.

I love both bands...so I'll have to go with instinct on the actual night.

ok I've become obsessed with the music of DragonForce overnight. Seriously, I can't stop listening to it now. Wow, they're beyond awesome... so melodic, AHHH! lol. Wow, I think I'm a fan :-D

Not heard of Dragon Force, but I LOVE Kamelot!

OOOOOHHH!!!! Just downloaded Apostles of Darkness by Dragon force,and am listening now......

OK, I will be getting their CDs!!

Actually, I knewI liked this sort of music, but never had a name for it....Power Metal...thanks!

I'm listening to My Spirit Will Go On at the moment :) Seriously, I've become obsessed overnight. I listened through their music for the first time last night (I had heard it before, but nothing major) and I just can't stop listening to it. Valley Of The D*mned (lmao I can't even say the title of the song without it being censored) and Heart Of A Dragon are just :jawdrop:
