This year we have been granted the opportunity to conduct our ball in the fields of the Shire. The hobbits of Buckland have graciously opened their town hall to us, as well as the land surrounding it, and, just like all other hobbit parties, they are thrilled to bring the food, ale, presents, and talk has circulated about the appearance of fireworks.

So, in order to thank our gracious hosts, we have been asked to simply attend, have a good time, and not steal too much of their food. I, in behalf of all of the hobbits, am thrilled to see you here, and have a blast at The Brewery.

THE GIFT EXCHANGE - Enter the 25th & 26th of June
Upholding to a very hobbity tradition, we are going to be having a gift exchange at the end of the Brewery. If you wish to be a part of the gift exchange, PM me, and I will tell you who to make a gift for. Then, we will all exchange our gifts.

As is rumored, a hobbit's true passion is for food. While that is not precisely true, it is a fact that eating is one of their favorite things to do. So, in order to serve their guests (but mostly themselves), the hobbits of Buckland have provided a delicious course of meats, veggies, and sweets. Therefore, come here, eat, drink, and be merry.

Nurr followed Prisca into Brandy Hall. Whatever she had smelled from outside was somewhere in the Hall; she could barely stand still for want of tasting some delicious food. Her eyes took in the tables with wonder.

Barely pausing on the threshold to take in the sight, Nurr made a beeline for the apparent beginning of the line. Many plates and tables later, Nurr managed to balance all the food in order to sit at a long table. Now, where to start?

going on a journey through my old claims

Prisca followed Nurr in an almost identical sequence. It was as if a dancing spectacular of drinks, sweets, and half-sized folk came to down. Everyone was talking, chatting, and grabbing their hands at the last bit of food.

"So, what have you been up to?" Prisca asked Nurr as she sat down and started up a light conversation before the rest of the gang arrived at the table.

Boromir and Goldleaf entered the Brandy Hall. Boromir shook his head in amazement.
"These people must have the appetite of an army," he said, looking at the vast array of food on the tables, as the little folk rushed about to collect food and ale.

Goldleaf laughed and took his arm. "Come on, let's go and sit down." She pulled him away from the threshold of the hall and found them some seats amongst some particularly hungry hobbits. They were the only big people at the table.

Boromir poured himself some ale from a ewer. Taking a sip, he raised his eyebrows. "This isn't half-bad."

Even In Darkness [Updating]

Nienna and Karl finally caught up with Goldy and Boromir. Nia bounced up behind her cousin and hugged her from behing, "Allo Cousin!"

Nurr set down a piece of roast chicken. "I've been looking after Daisy Bolger's children. You know, the two hundered?" Well, maybe not that many, but sometimes it felt like it. "They can be a handful sometimes. And with a party coming up, well...they were bouncing off the walls! Which I'd just cleaned, so.."

She paused to get a drink. "And what about you?" Nurr grinned as she saw the boys still loading their plates. They could eat anything!

"Not as much as you entirely," Prisca assured Nurr, "I have been hanging out with my husband, mostly. Working a bit with some cattle to gain some money, but Pip keeps talking about heading out of the Shire, and I think we are going to take a trip by the end of the year."

As both Nurr and Prisca spoke to each other, Frodo and Pippin had gotten their food, sat down, scarfed it down, then repeated the action with another plateful of food. They chatted, laughed, joked, and soon turned their attention to the ever-rising music in the background. Giving a cheek-to-cheek smile, Pippin tapped the table before Frodo and motioned his head to the side in a gesture for him, and all who were watching to follow. It had begun, and Pippin wanted to be the first one on stage for karaoke.

Even In Darkness [Updating]

Mrs. H and her husband, Haldir walked into the Brandy Hall. They had chosen not to have Hobbit names this time around. The two Elves had arrived late to the ball this year, (by the fault of no working computer and limited access to one) which was a first. She wanted to blame him for such but it would be a wasted arguement so she said nothing.

As always, the Hobbits had overdone themselves with an endless supply of food. Whatever one desired to eat, it was there. Of course, being Elves as they were, avoided all meat since they did not eat such. Mrs. H looked around and found some carrot stick and nibbled on them and Haldir took an apple from nearby. "Hobbits sure do love food," he said and took a small bite. "Indeed," Mrs. H agreed. "I think every food item that exists is here."
