I didn't mean to put across that I was pleased that she was dead now, no need to get fussy. It was just a joke. I am sad for any death, obviously, I just find it interesting how no one could care about you one day, the next day you're gone, and everyone is popping out of the woodworks about how wonderful you were, and what a great person you were, and how tragic your life was. I'm sorry if I can't find much sympathy for a drug overdose, my uncle ruined my mothers life with his drug use, so from personal experience... you know.

I do not know why you are saddened that much. You are not the one that used the drugs, she was. So this way or another, she would be dead nonetheless. I am only sorry for another playboy star that has thrown away her one and only life so rashly.

A rather tasteless joke, considering a young infant is being left behind without her mother. Regardless of what you may have thought of her and her life, the lack of compassion and thought towards that young child not just on here, but in the media truly disturbs me.

It's only okay to show compassion or sympathy if it's someone you deem to be a good person? I'm sorry but my compassion doesn't work that way.

I had heard of her, but never really knew who she was. On Thursday, when I was at dance, one of the women I teach with mentioned it. She had to tell me who she was and even that she was a model.

Its very sad that she left behind such a young child. I havn't heard all the details on her death, except that it was caused by an over dose.

I don't agree with her life style, as far as her career choice, or her marriage. But I am in no way celebrating her death. Thats just not right.

But we shouldn't be debating whether or not to celebrate death in this thread. Couldn't we all just have a civil conversation, without getting into a spiritual or political debate? Honestly, whether she deserved what she got, or she's going to heaven or hell, its really no one's business but her own. We shouldn't remember people like that. Is that honestly how you want people to remember you? Its sad that we even have to address this issue. It really is.

And her death was rather tasteless, everyone must admit that. And the fact that her poor children are motherless is sad. But she made bad choices with her life, and in the end, she paid for it.

To the best of my knowledge, the toxicology report came back showing there were no illegal substances in her system.

That aside, if you take into account depression and/or Post Natal depression, anything could have been going through her head. None of us knew her personally to make any sort of judgement on her or her lifestyle. It's not something you may agree with, but that is irrelevant. I just think there's some overly harsh treatment of someone just because you think they're immoral.

Drugs and alcohol aside, she lost her son 3 days after the birth of her daughter. That is about to make an emotional impact on anyone. Not saying it made her suicidal, but at least took away her lustre.

Where has peoples compassion gone to these days?

It's true that people rarely think good of others when those 'others' are alive, true feelings are usually shown on funerals; a pessimist's view on the whole thing. But noone deserves to die, be it a woman who poses naked for Playboy (compared to my schoolmates, they're perfetcly well-covered) or a totally sainty girl who's never said a bad word in her whole life. We were born to live. And I do feel sorry for Anna Nicole, her daughter and all the people with similar stories.

I usually don't bother..but this one was different. I didn't know her, nor can I claim to know what went through her mind.
But she was obviously in a bad place in her life, and her past wether you agree with her or not does not and should not matter. She deserves above all to rest in peace.

I'm neutral on the whole Playboy model issue. Some models do aspire to be in the magazine because it's exposure, not just in the literal sense. I'm in no position to judge what they do.

I actually feel sorrier for the child than her. I'm not saying I'm glad she's dead, but the death was her cause. That poor baby won't know who her mother even was she's so young.
