The official way of saying it is "Two thousand and ten". But that's incredibly boring and long-winded to me. Likewise with "Two thousand and nine." No one needs all that.

I've been saying Oh-Ten. Doesn't make much sense, but it sounds nice.
AND BBQ OF SUMMER DOOM DEATH YES.

yes but you can't call it "oh-ten" and "two-oh-ten" is almost as long... I mean, everyone called '09 "oh-nine"... and now... would it just be "ten"? that seems dull.

I was more on about writing it really.... '10 looks weird compared to '09 or '08.

I envy you people who got to graduate in the "ohs". It's so much cooler sounding to say "I graduated in "oh-nine" or "oh-seven" or whatever" than to say "I graduated in "ten"."

I like two thousand and ten. It sounds so futuristic. But I think people are going to go back to saying twenty-ten, just like we used to say nineteen-ninety-nine. Remember that, way back in the last millennium?
I agree, though, it's very awkward being the "class of 10." Almost as awkward as being "class of 11" or "class of 12."
The next decade is going to be very weird.

Die two! *stabs*
gosh, good thing I've already been proven to not be the killer... otherwise that might've given me away.

I bet when the guy who decided how years and decades should be written, never imagined an extraordinary number of young people would be up late in the evening or early morning, debating what is the correct way to say the year 2010, and how weird it sounds and looks. And how other years like 2009 simply PWN'd it's bottom into next week.
I'll bet Algie's pink fan he never imagined that.
That is all.

I will take that bet, because I'll be the one who writes it.

And don't forget, we still have to graduate college in that decade. Class of '10 and Class of '14. Sad.
I bet young people in 1910 had the same problem. I bet they sat up, telegraphing to each other on Halloween night, saying "Isn't it terrible we have to graduate in '10?"
