Since breakfast was hardly a necessity to her anymore, Kitty hadn't even bothered decending from her room that morning. Overhearing thumping in the attic, however, Kitty assumed that the mysterious chest had finally been opened. Zooming up the stairs, Kitty peeked her head up through the floor of the attic only to see an array of characters from LotR standing before her. At first Kitty had wondered if she would even be able to don a costume, but seeing Evening in her Galdalf costume reassured her. Moving over to the costume chest, Kitty dug around until she saw the perfect costume: a giant banana. Jumping around with excitement, Kitty slipped it on. "What do you guys think?" she asked with a smile, "Too much?"

"It's true, it's true!" Nurr entered the room at hearing the word "Frodo". She began using her newfound ghostly powers of move-ability to pull out costumes. "Aha!" She draped a hobbit cloak around her shoulders. "Now I just need....." digging deeper until she almost disappeared, Nurr reappeared with a gold ring and string of rope. "Anyone seen a dagger? Like the ones Merry and Pippin use?" She peered around. "And, of course, we're not exclusive. I'm sure there could be many Frodo's here."

[I thought I'd better jump in here otherwise Kit would probably behead me again someway... haven't got a clue what is going on but still...]
The Headless Horseman peered at all the clothes in the chest. He noticed they were all very feminine looking. He then noticed a very sparkly looking item, which revealed itself to be chain mail. He found a matching crown and a sword. "Hmm" he said. "Looks like coronation armour to me".

Kit blanched at Kitty's costume and went to tug it off the ghost immediately, "That wasn't supposed to be in there!" She exclaimed embarrassed and tucked it where it was out of sight.
She composed herself and turned back to Kitty, "The costume is themed, so you need to pick out a Lord of the Rings costume.. You can be anyone you want!"

Evening grinned at the others - though it was hard to tell through her bushy grey fake beard - and drifted over towards Nurr.
"If you need a friendly neighbourhood wizard to shout things like 'FOOL OF A TOOK' at you, for artistic licence, then you know who to go to," she said cheerfully.

Fuschia wandered up to the Attic and decided to wander through the clothes as well as everyone else. She held up a Legolas costume, and smiled, murmuring, "Perfect."

But upon hearing the HH's comment she turned around so quickly that her neck almost snapped. "You do?" she asked softly. She giggled. "Than I might put one on.."

Thump, thump, THUD
PD had been reading in the library for a little while, completly oblivious as to what was going on around her. "What the..." she looked up at the ceiling as she heard the noises. Maybe it was the killer? Her heart skipped a beat. She glanced around the room and realized no one else was there. "hmmm." she got up to explore. She slowly made her way up the stairs with a fork in her hand (don't ask where she got it... but she DID need some kind of defense). She paused on the second story. The noise was coming from the attic... but now she could hear voices too. "Hopefully..." she trailed off as she scurried up the attic stairs and flung open the door with the fork held high.

Sparkle looked at the gowns which the Horseman pointed out and gasped. The dresses looked in her opinion rather revolting. She would never wear such a thing willingly. But then she smiled at the Horseman, although she was never sure if he was able to see that, and cried out: "Oh those look beau-ti-ful!" Her braceltes tingled as she took a long green robe out of the chest and held it in front of her. "Oh Horseman" she battered her eyelids. "You have absolutely great taste."

"Hmm.. the green goes very well with your eyes but... wait a moment" and he pulled out from under his cloak scissors, tape measure and other clothing accessories.
After a few minutes of adjustments, he looked at his handy work. It was still a LOTR dress but he hed tailored it to suit Sparkle by adding some sparkles and placing shimmering rhinestones around the collar.
"Much better" he said, as he gave the dress back to her.

When PD realized she was back among friends she hurriedly stuffed the fork away and went over to join them all. "Picking out LotR costumes now, eh?" she looked over the ones people had already picked out. "Hmmm," she would have to try to find an Arwen-inspired gown for herself.
