Kit's ghost arrived at the scene of the guests wherever they were in her lovely mansion, but she was going for a morning haunt around the neighborhood, having the jolliest ol' time milking as much as the holiday's superstitions could provide her.
"Good Halloween to you all," Kit greeted upon her own arrival. "It is so very sad to see you all leave tomorrow morning."

"Hmmm," PD mumbled while hearing about Kit's sorrow over them leaving. She didn't think it was all that sad to get out of this madhouse and on with life... she had seen enough gruesome murders (and ghosts to boot) for one year. She munched on a caramel apple slowly, savoring the sweet, gooey caramelness of it.

"Aww, come here, Lassie," PD beckoned. She adored dogs with her whole being... she especially enjoyed spoiling them rotten. "Here," she used her finger to scrape off some caramel from the apple and offered it to the doggie.

PD giggled as Lassie's pink tongue managed to make quick work of the caramel on her finger. It was practically record time. "Ooo, good girl," PD praised while petting the dog and scratching behind her ears. "If only you could tell me who the murderer was..."

"Oooohhhahahahhhdgah no!" Kit exclaimed, berating the rough collie. "No! You are not supposed to tell them!" Kit wagged an authoritative finger at the dog.

"Nooo, no, she can tell me," PD quickly interrupted Kit. "Heeyyy, Lassssieee, you want more caramel?" She, again, scrapped some off and held it up to Lassie temptingly. She cast a sidelong glance at Kit. "Just tell us... me who did it and you'll get more." She smiled sweetly.

"No, no, no, no." Kit said again, sweeping down to hover next to the Lassie.
Now, Lassie had a dilemma. She was torn between her undying loyalty to her mistress and the temptations of the caramel, something that she hardly ever gets.
The dog began to whimper and laid down and covering her face with her paws.

"Awww, come on, Kit, see what you're doing to the poor doggie? You're causing her pain and misery. That's something no pet owner should ever have to be accused of. And it's almost the end anyway... sooo... come here, Lassie," PD held out her caramel covered finger toward the dog. And, yes, PD was so desperate to know who the killer was that she resorted to tempting a dog who could only speak in barks and arfs.

"Yes, that is true" said The Horseman.
"Eliza has been giving me very knowing looks recently" he said. "She did the same at last years party, just when everyone was wondering who the killer was. She looked very triumphant when it was revealed to have been Nurr. I swear sometimes that horse is more intelligent than she looks" said The Horseman glancing around to make sure Eliza was nowhere to be seen.
