The messenger's name was Hirgon.
Do you always have to wait for somebody to tell you wether or not the answer was right, or do you just type another question?

I think that if you are very certain of your answer, you can ask a new question. If you are not, wait for someone with enough knowledge to confirm your answer (preferably the creator of the question).
If you were certain and wrong, you will find out soon enough

Elu Thingol? Then you're the one who posted that question on Tolkien Trivia: who's the tallest of the Children of Iluvatar? That question's so hard! I looked through the entire Silmarillion and I still haven't figured it out.

Was that a guess or a question if it really was me posting the 'hard question' in the Tolkien Trivia?
Well, 'Elu Thingol' is the wrong answer And, yes, I did post that question.

It was a question lol. I'm gonna guess though, and I think it's wrong but:
The prince and princess of Ithilien were Faramir and Eowyn.

*slaps his head* Doh! My question wasn't even of the Return of the King!
Well, the answer on your question is: Ernil i Pheriannath, it is rather a title than a name, though..
New question: What was the name of the eldest woman who served in Minas Tirith's Houses of Healing?

Edit: Argh! I seem to be very good at killing threads..
