"when you get it developed can you somehow send me a picture too?" PD asked, referring to the camera's film. As Rain began looking around more so did she. "well, we could take that one." she pointed at the one to the far right, "afterall right is always best." she winked.

Murtagh nodded, then a messanger holding a long wrapped box with ribbon walked up.
"Here sir, I thought I'd deliver it to you, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!" he said, and walked off.
"Well, now I don't have to go anywhere," he said, noting the wrapping paper had horses with elf hats on...

PD followed close behind her. "hmmm." she paused and picked a stray flower off one of the hedges. "when do you think we should start seriously thinking of leaving?" she looked over at Rain. "after all, we don't want to miss the snowball fight." a mischievous glint came into her eye.

Lord Beckett looked with interest at the wrapped present. "that's interesting." he took out his pocket watch. "they've been in there for some time. Do you think they're ok? Should we..." he paused. "go in after them?"

"Yeah, lets head back now, and then head over to the Courtyard for a snowball fight," she said, and stopped. "Though, it won't be easy finding the way out unless you have photographic memory."

PD gave a quick nod and turned around to face the way they had just come. She stopped. "ummm, actually I don't have a photographic memory. sooooo...." she looked around, trying to think of any easy way out. "I guess we have one last adventure! Getting out of here!" she wasn't too worried about it yet. After all, if they missed the snowball fight (although she desperately didn't want to) they could still get Murtagh and Beckett to join in their own personal snowball fight, right?

Hearing voices from inside the maze and feeling slightly breathless from the dancing, Larael and Severus strolled quietly into the garden admiring the shrubs and flowers as they went. Discreetly holding hands beneath their cloaks the two stopped in front a fountain whose water played upon the rocks to share a quick kiss. The night was gorgeous, and not even the voices from inside the maze could spoil the moment.

Rain thought for a moment then grinned. She reached into the folds of her skirt and brought out a sword.
"We could make our own path through. But what would Kit say about that?"

Captain Lamenter walked into the garden. He twisted his neck, and felt the crick go away.The smile on his face grew ever more broad when his enhanced vision told him that there was a huge cavern at the end of the garden, with about ten metres of ice blocking the entrance. He clenched the powerfist on his right hand, and ran towards it, activating the arcane device as he ran.
This would be fun......

Rain grinned misceviously, and started cutting with her sword. Soon she was through one wall, and then another and then another. After about a half hour they finally found their way to a trail that led in a straight line to the exit.
"After you," she said teasingly.

PD followed close behind as Rain chopped their way out of the maze. "it is a shame, though, that now no one else can go in the maze." she looked back before leaving. Suddenly, however, she turned back to Rain and a mischievous look crossed her face. She reached down and gathered some snow, "might as well surprise them." she grinned at Rain with the snowball in her hand.

Rain nodded, put her sword away, and picked up a lot of snow. She bunched it into a ball, and as the two woman stepped out of the maze, Rain chucked it at Murtagh. It hit him square in the face and he was nearly knocked off his feet. Rain giggled.
Murtagh, supprised by the snowball, stooped down to pick up one and threw it back at Rain, and hit her right in the arm...

PD laughed and threw her snowball shortly after Rain's found its target. Hers hit Beckett right in the face same as Murtagh's. He was caught off guard for only a moment before he too got into the fight by throwing a snowball of his own. PD ducked and giggled as she scooped up another handful of snow.
(well, the Yule Ball is over... but that doesn't mean we can't still have some fun, does it?  )

Murtagh, picking up Rain's gift, lightly tossed it to her. She caught it and looked up at him questioningly. He nodded.
"Better late than never," she said, and opened it to reveal a sword with a rose on it's hilt. "Awesome... but..." she set it down carefully, and threw a snowball, this time hitting Backett without meaning to...

"Oh, that's beautiful, Rain!" PD smiled and admired the sword until she saw the snowball fight was beginning yet again. She laughed when Rain hit Beckett square on target and quickly picked up a snowball of her own to throw at Murtagh. Beckett scooped up a handful of snow and tossed it back at Rain in retaliation.
