hesitantly, TT had followed Sparkle* into the mansion. Inside, she smiled slightly at the guests. Some of whom she recognized, some of whom she did not.
TT could not suppress a laugh at Ea's question. Quietly, she waited for Kit to show them into the dining room.

Kit wiped her cheek of the horsesnout's wet and led the guests into the dining room. "There better be bagels..."
"It's evening, ma'am," Hema, the maid, politely informed the hostess as Kit passed by.
"French toast, then?" Kit gestured her arms in a clear signal of 'come on!'

Ianto Jones took care to park his car a reasonable distance from the mansion, in a reasonably unnoticeable location. Normally he wouldn't have, but after noticing many of the other guests were arriving in more... stylish fashions (hadn't horses gone out of style a while ago?), he'd changed his mind. Besides, walking wasn't going to kill anyone.
Walking also gave him time to reflect on the unfortunate demise of his social life. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been to a party; it had been years, anyway, and not since he'd joined the Cardiff branch of Torchwood. Well, here he was, shirking his duties as Saver-of-Planet-Earth, and attending a party. A Halloween party.
The mansion was the sort of mansion that he would've considered creepy a few years ago, before he'd essentially moved into an underground bunker (in Cardiff). Straightening his tie, he marched up the front steps, and seeing the door was slightly ajar, wandered in and located the other guests.
Said guests seemed to be, for the most part, normal enough. One of them didn't have a head, but Ianto had dealt with stranger things. Lisa had been turned partially into a robot, and Jack couldn't die, after all.
"Hello," he said, suddenly feeling a bit shy. "Lovely place this is..."

Seeing the disgraceful lack of males among the guests, Eä ruthlessly grabbed onto the nearest person dragging her along towards the dining room. Her groaning stomach conquered her manners for the moment and Eä shot a slightly apologetic smile at her unvoluntary consort.
"Now shall we, my dear" She said in a sugary voice as she paused in her step to shoot an interested look at the latest arrival.

Before she knew what was happenening, TT was being dragged along by Ea toward the food.
"Uh, yes... we shall..." she said, unsure of what else to say.

"Bagels?" asked the Horseman. "I just adore bagels" he said. "Especially with jam" he added.
"Hello there Ea and TT" he said with a wave. "It's nice to see you again" as he followed them into the dining room.

With TeeTee billowing horisontally behind her, being only attatched to Eä by her arm, they both entered the dining room.
Suddenly stopping short poor TeeTee rammed into Eä's back as she came to an aprupt halt.
"Umm... sorry" she muttered to TeeTee.
Eä clinged to TeeTee's arm, hesitating on the threshold as her mind conjured contorted images from last year's Hallowfest. She shuddered like if a ghost had passed right through her body, before shaking her head at her own silly fears, though she still found herself beckoning the Horseman and the others to step forward and cross into the room before she did so herself.

The Horseman strutted alongside Ea, and walked into the dining room. "Muffins!" he cried, as he walked over to the lovely spread laid out for the guests. "Hmmm" he said as he delicately threw piece after piece between his shoulders. "Spiffing" he said. "Positively spiffing" as the butter ran down onto his cravat.
"My you ladies are looking delightful this evening" he said turning to Ea and TT.

The elf with the obnoxiously red hair spotted food, and when that happens there is no stopping her. She dashed into the room, delighted that there were so many delicious choices. Cupcakes, fruit salad, and a chocolate cheesecake were just a few of the many items dazzleing the LEP officer's eyes.
Holly hiked up her skirt and skidded into the room, grabbing a cupcake for herself and a plate of cake for her husband. Artemis stood by the door looking rather confused until she handed him his plate and stuck a fork in his mouth.
"This is awesome." she noted to no one in particular, then saw Ea looking a little nervous by the door. "Hey, Ea! Grab a cupcake and come join us!" the elf waved, and Arty rolled his eyes at his hyperactive wife.

As PD walked up to the mansion she noticed all the modes of transportation which were already parked haphazardly in the yard surrounding the place. 'Always late,' she thought, sighing. She picked up her pace and jogged to the door - the leaves crunching and crackling beneath her feet. Pushing on the heavy, old door, she burst through. "I'm here!" She exclaimed to no one in particular, "my car broke down several miles back and since this is so far out of the way of.... pretty much anything... my only other option was to walk the rest of the way. Thankfully it's a lovely day... or rather evening for a stroll." She grinned while walking over to where everyone else was. She pulled a brush out of her purse and ran it through her wind-blown, curly brown hair, trying to calm it down.

Mercifully Eä let go of the loyal companion by her side, oblivious of the fact that she might have left poor TeeTee with a beautifully bruised arm.
Her mood gradually shifting back to that of festivity.
Eä smoothed her skirt wondering how much food the corset would allow her to hold. Several voices now broke her inner spell and the mentioning of food soon brought her back to the present.
"Thank you, thank you". She nodded politely to the Horseman, who looked like one who hadn't eaten since last year.
Flicking a lock of raven black hair onto her back Eä entered into the room. Her steps soundless and her stride smooth like a cat's. For a moment, if one looked carefully, a predatory glint played in her grey-green eyes as Eä stepped forward to board the buffet.
She turned to the elf and smiled.
"I would love to". Eä took a cupcake decorated with a grinning pumpkin smiling to Holly. The light reflecting in her pupils revealing only genuine kindness.
"Hello PD-ish, fashionably late I see.. well, better late than never. Dig in!" She motioned to the newcomer and let her own gaze wander inquisitively over the table.

Evening made her way to the dining room, following in the direction the other guests had gone in. She beheld the spread of food that had been set out for them and wondered where to start. She approached a bowl of mulled wine and inhaled the rich, spicy aroma. “Hmm,” she pondered. In truth, she didn’t have much experience picking out food from such a large range of choice.
She prodded a chocolate chip muffin curiously. It smelt fairly pleasant. “What is it?” she mused aloud. Everyone else appeared to be enjoying the bagels and muffins and such.

Mist's blonde eyebrows furrowed. What could this possibly mean? All had been going along so normally... and yet, here she was. Horseless, and without the foggiest idea of where she was at! She looked back at the woods behind her, where she had come from. She'd spent enough time in there, trying to get her bearings. In front of her was a strange, dark mansion, its lawn covered with tracks and footprints. Certainly not a battlefield, but it was an inhabited place. Why, there was even a person seeking admittance at this very moment!
One more glance around, and Mist was running wildly toward the mansion. Her white dress, accented with light blue, flew around her as though it were in the middle of a hurricane. When she reached the door, she paused to catch her breath, and then knocked firmly on the door.

“Oh, hey!” PD waved at Ea and made her way over to the glorious buffet. “Wow, this looks even better than last year’s!” She was now more then ever thankful for all the walking she had to do to get here - it made her all the more hungry. Before she could dig into some of the creamy mac&cheese she heard a rap, rap, rap at the door. "I think someone else is here! Which means I wasn't the only late one!"

"That looks quite like baked spider, that is what gives the muffins the delicate crunchy taste".
She flashed Evening a mischievous smile, and handed PD one of the aforementioned muffins too.
"Here you go darling, you look starved..."
Interrupted by the knocking on the front door as well as noise in the hall that indicated the arrival of more of the Halloween guests Eä paused.
She turned from the pleasant engagement at the buffet about nagging people into trying the various treats and directed her full attention to the arriving guests, waiting patiently for them to be let in by the unruly servants.

In reply to the young woman who seemed to have come from no where... or maybe she had just overlooked Hermione in her dash into the mansion... PD said, "thank you but I'm good. I think I got the really bad tangles out." she smiled at Hermione. "That was a cool trick though," She said while motioning at the wand.
"Oooo, muffin!" She happily took it from Ea. "Thank you! I am starving!"
She glanced back at Hermione. "Come on! Let's eat!"
