After being snubbed by the headless conductor--who, she supposed, couldn't be blamed for not seeing her performance given the fact that he did not actually have a head--Clarissa had walked away in a bit of a huff, struggling to keep her composure. People were growing more uncultured by the minute, she supposed. She made her way through the train, hoping to find an empty compartment that she could call her own for the trip.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she said as she poked her head into the nearest sleeping coach and saw a young girl busily putting clothes away. "I thought this would be empty. I'll just go to the next one, then." On impulse, she offered the girl a little smile before moving on and taking the next coach. She unpacked her small overnight bag before moving onto the larger suitcases, setting her copy of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express on the bed. She gazed at the cover for a few moments, her imagination suddenly kicking in. I wonder...no, don't be ridiculous. Superstitious nonsense, that's what that is.

Of course, one must never forget that Clarissa was a genuine theatre person. Theatre and superstition go hand in hand.

Looking rather bewildered Eä surrendered her flower cargo to the conductor. The truth was that she was pleased to be relieved of the impertinent tulips although she had grown somewhat fond of the flesh-eating plants which she had discovered to be quite handy.

The other passengers on the platform were and interesting mix of colourful characters. It pleased Eä greatly as she was easily bored and was dreading a long train ride with too much time to kill. Only the sparkly person whom Eä recalled used to have an interesting un-intimate relationship with the Horseman was familiar.
Eä nodded in recognition of Sparkle and got her map from the Horseman.

Thus ready to embark on the luxurious journey to sunny Monte Carlo she climbed onboard.

The platform began to empty as the guests boarded, and a chill wind was starting to blow. Taur pull her mink stole tighter around her shoulders. "Alonzo, set up my things in Compartment 1 of Coach A," she told her chauffeur. "It's my train after all, and it's nearest to the chocolate bar. Then you're free to go, though I shall expect you at Monte Carlo in two weeks to pick me up at the station."

And with that, Taur stepped onto the train.

Sparkle giggled as the Horseman took her hand and bowed. "Oh.. Mr. Horseman" she sighed, "you're such a gentleman!" She fidgeted with her hair, but the short and tensing silence between the two was then interrupted by a young woman, who introduced herself as Anne. Sparkle shot her a not so sparkly look, feeling discontented that the woman interrupted their moment.
Soon many more guests arrived and Sparkle followed them as they boarded the train. "Oh! I do love to explore!" Sparkle said with a childish giggle. "And I love trains as well!"

[Ahw, no Yusef or Pliff? Ah well, Sergei and Prokopy also seem to be nice.. ]

It was that time of year again. Halloween. Moririellë's favorite holiday and with that came another HallowFest. Every year it was different and more exciting. This year, there was a new host. However, the guest list seemed quite puny this year. Perhaps some have lost interest in the HallowFests. Such a shame, she thought. Hopefully this year will still be a success.

Dressed all in black, Moririellë lifted her skirts and stepped onto the train. And no moment too soon before the train was about to leave. Running late as usual, she had made it just in time. She was giddy with excitement. "Ooh, a train!" she said. "Fabulous! It is like one of those Murder Mystery Trains. Oh, this shall be fun. I do love trains." Moririellë had never been to Monte Carlo before, and she could not wait to get there.

She placed her belongings into the luggage car for the time being and made her way through the next car of the train. "Oh, a bar on this train. I shall have myself a mixed drink later on this eve. I wonder what else is on this train." Moririellë saw some of the other guests that had arrived before her. She then spotted the Headless Horsemen. "Hello, Sir Horseman," she greeted. "How are you this fine evening?" she asked.

Smiling up at the Horseman's -er, well- she took a map and stepped onto the train, "Thank you...ah....Thank you."

Stepping up onto the train, she turned back once, just to peer outside, in time to see the arrival of Taurquende and various crew members. Smiling warmly at her, she turned and made her way further into the train and into Coach B, Compartment 4.

Gently, settling her stuff onto the bed, she proceeded to stand in the doorway of the compartment next to her, "H-hi. I'm Taunaki. Nice to meet you!"

Sparkle, having the spatial intelligence of a snail, had decided not to use the maps, as she couldn't understand them anyway and started to explore the train on her own. After admiring the Pampering lounge (The sauna is really good for a sparkling skin!) and looking around the Chocolate Bar (There's no sparkling without chocolate!), Sparkle had taken a comfortable seat in the Lounge, where she was sipping of a well-deserved cup of tea. She wondered if the all the guests had already arrived and whether they were going to leave soon. In any case had she now taken a strategic place in the Lounge, close to coach D, where she could watch the staff come and go and wait for the other guests.

Taur made her way through the train, awkwardly smushing around people to pass them in the corridor. "Honestly, a three million Euro train couldn't have wider corridors?? Ah well, that's what you get asking for historical cars from the '30s," she thought.

"Hello, Eä! Good evening, Moririellë! Welcome, Taunaki! Hi, Sir Algernon!" Taur said, greeting some of her guests as she passed by. She found the Lounge Car occupied by two women. "Good evening Sparkle, Anne!" Taur said cheerily. "I'm just making my way up to the locomotive to tell Sergei to start preparing for departure! We should be on our way in just an hour or two!"

(@ Sparkle... The agency said they were unavailable. )

Liesl carefully smiled back, and continued unpacking. Her everyday dress, her formal dress, five pairs of socks and stockings, and. . .oh! There was her music book. She set that by her guitar, and then stepped back. Perhaps later this evening she could entertain everyone with a few songs. Surveying the area, Liesl nodded happily to herself: everything was in order. As well it should be.

Plodding down the corridors, Liesl wondered if she should have brought her guitar. It was getting close to the evening. But she soon found herself in the Lounge Car, and by then it was too late to go back. Making her way over to the couch, she gave a curious glance at the woman who was discreetly ripping pages out of a book, and then another curious glance at the Headless Horseman. Liesl sat down next to the sparkling woman, casting yet another curious glance at her clothing. She certainly was sparkly.

"I'm sorry," she said softly. "But I didn't catch your names. Mine's Liesl."
