I've actually been drinking a lot less coffee lately... O_o I'm not sure what's wrong with me.
It's odd but I have ALWAYS drank my coffee black and yet lately it just doesn't seem to appeal to me so much and since I have no extra fix'ns for my coffee... *shrugs*

Jax Nova, I wouldn't characterize it as something being "wrong." It just may be that your palette has changed. I have a friend that, in her 50's, has found that she no longer enjoys the taste of coffee.
Then, again, it could be that "They" (whomever "They" are) are not selling quality beans, anymore. Who knows.....?

I wouldn't consider it "wrong" either, Jax.
I find I drink a lot less coffee than I use to as well, and I usually only drink it first thing in the morning with a bit of cream (although I, occasionally add a bit of sugar, because I feel I need the "boost" the sugar gives me).
Tea (which I rarely I drink) I take with no milk or sugar; and yerba maté (which I primarily drink in the afternoons and evenings) I take with a bit of honey and fresh mint (this combo makes an excellent chilled drink in the summer).

I walked over to a nice little cafe near my house this morning and hand a lovely cup of coffee with my breakfast. It was so good I got another one to takeaway with me on the walk home. The barista is new and really has a way to get the coffee to taste great! I'll have to visit more often on weekends.

Well, true I suppose it is just rather odd. I did mix some milk in my coffee today and that was very tasty.  Deumeawyn, that sounds like a lovely place. I wosh there was a place around here like that.

So true! The smell of brewing coffee and the taste aren't pleasant for me anymore, and I used to drink a carafe a day! I do like the smell of the grounds when I'm preparing coffee for my husband in the mornings. The body does change over the years. Some stuff I didn't like to eat I now do, and some stuff I used to, I don't. Cha- Cha- Cha- Changes!

I guess it could be... though it's nit like I am getting more sleep ir anything. Lol The caffeine has never effected me noticeably in recent years anyways, honestly. I could drink three cups of coffee right before bed and still fall asleep just as quick. I mostly just drink coffee for the flavor.

My Regular Long Black with an extra shot sure was tasting good today.
How is it the same machine, same coffee beans, same water, made by a different person can taste sooo different!

My wife now insists on her filling up our (relatively new) drip-filter coffee machine with water, while I am allowed fill up the paper filter holder with the ground coffee, using a measuring spoon almost worthy of a chemistry lab – which she then “fine-tunes” using a run-of-the mill teaspoon …  _________________
