"I suppose it does" The Horseman sighed. "Although strangely when we want to frighten people we can easily make noise so as to make them aware we are coming, especially the jangle of spurs" and he pointed to his boots. "Another family thing" he said.
"Yes, I can see what you mean in regards to your husband" said The Horseman. "I think I saw him enter the study, there are lots of people there" he added.

Bubbles waved at the Horseman. "Hello! I thought I heard music in here, but then it stopped. I dearly love music," she sighed.

Passing her fingers over the spines of the various books, most of them looked pretty old, she took one out and sat down on the sturdy chair, leaning back as dark eyes scanned the words of the page, how interesting that she had picked up a murder mystery.
"Life can be so ironic sometimes"

Before Lady Death could respond another guest appeared in the room asking about the music. "Do you play?" she asked, "It'd be wonderful if someone with actual experience could ply something for us. I'm not terribly good."
Not wanting to abandon her new aquaintance so quickly Lady Death decided her husband couldn't possibly do too much harm in the next few minutes.

Bubbles shook her head. "I don't play the piano, but I wish I did. I do play the clarinet, but it just doesn't have the same mournful sound as the piano. The clarinet is also prone to squeaking at the most inconvenient times."

Taur had been quietly listening to Lady Death play. "That was beautifully done," she told her as the piece ended. "I don't play much piano, either," she added to Bubbles. "Two hands are too much for me to handle. But I love the sound of the clarinet. It can sound very mournful at times... absolutely heart-breaking."

"Oh dear, I was hoping someone could play so that we'd have some music to dance to," Lady Death lamented.

"Yes, Taurquede, in the hands of a professional, it sends chills down my spine. I'm certainly not that good, but I can still get a pleasant sound out of one," Bubbles stated, pulling out her clarinet case from her bag. She put the instrument together and wet her reed. She began to play a slow, minor song and swayed to the music.
(Yes, I play the clarinet in RL. )

Saffron woke with a start, wandering how long she had slept in. Her stomach growled and she immediately left her room to dash to the dining room. Her hair was a frizzy mess and her pajamas weren't exactly the prettiest sight, but the smell of food drove all thoughts of her appearance far away from her mind.
She burst into the dining room to see that people were already eating. "I didn't miss breakfast, did I?" she said rather stupidly. She sat down and grabbed a piece of toast, then spread a thick layer of apricot jam on it. "This is delicious."
{Sis, do you play clarinet irl too? This is getting creepy, no pun intended...o.o
-EDIT-
Just saw your last post. Wow.}

Turwaithion wrote: ~Goldleaf~ wrote: "That's better," Goldleaf said approvingly as Tur ate a smaller portion of egg. "I don't have any plans really. Might wonder around a bit. See the sights. Quite an impressive place, not on the scale of Minas Tirith of course-" she thought with a sigh of her husband's home, "-but impressive, all the same." Tur actually laughed. "Nothing can compare to the White City, Goldy. Imladris may come cose, but..." he trailed off and finished his breakfast. Standing, he placed his plate and utensils to the side and leaned against the doorframe, spinning the cylinder of his revolver. Snapping the sidearm shut, he looked up. "I may as well join you, then. This seems to be a large enough place. Knowing what we can is an asset. Not that intel is ever right, but, ah, Morgoth Bauglir let's just be off." he said, holstering his pistol and heading to the main corridor.
She waved at Saffron Orange, who entered the dining room, happily. "Hi!" she said, and then looked over at Tur when she heard his suggestion. Goldleaf replied, "alright then!" putting down her plate, and followed Tur from the dining room towards the main corridor. "I wonder what everyone else is up to, aside from looking in the library." She suddenly heard music coming from the ballroom, and gave Tur a slight poke. "The clarinet! It sounds wonderful!"

"Hello again Bubbles" said The Horseman.
"I'm not that good on the piano" he said, joining in with the musical conversation. "I can pick out tunes though and carols are a speciality of mine, although I don't think it would entirely suit the mood to play any now" he said with a laugh.
"The recorder is my instrument, but just don't ask me how I can play it, being headless and all" he said with a whisper.

Lady Death listened attentively and only wished her husband werehere to appreciate the mournful sound. This was a tune she could most certainly dance to. Without really meaning to she found herself waltzing about the room.

Saffron finished her toast to hear a mournful clarinet tune drifting through the mansion. "Ah, that's lovely, I wonder who's playing...I bet this place has great acoustics," she said wistfully. She got up and followed everyone else into the ballroom, munching another piece of toast as she walked.

Bubbles continued to play, wishing that she could dance along with Lady Death and the Horseman, but knew that she couldn't possibly do such a thing while playing the clarinet. The image struck her as strange and she desperately tried not to laugh. She regained control and ended the song with a flourish.
(Sis, this is really, really strange. In every way that two people can be alike, we are those ways. )

Goldleaf walked into the ballroom, where most of the other guests were. She grinned at the sound of the clarinet. "Brilliant!" she congratulated Bubbles the 5th.
