Evening looked at Eä for a moment, wondering what to say in reply to that question. A baked spider?
Finally, she just laughed. “Inventive.” She left the muffin well alone and opted for fetching herself a glass of the mulled wine. She glanced over towards where her kind spider-muffin informer had just looked. Indeed, more guests were arriving. One of the people who had just stepped in through the door looked more akin to a valkyrie than a mortal.
“Greetings!” she waved at Mist and approached her immediately, a kind smile forming on her lips.

Mist, hearing no immediate response to her knock but hearing many voices inside, had come through the door after the others. "Hello?" she called out, quite loudly, wanting to warn everyone of her presence lest they be alarmed by her presence. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her, and surveyed the scene. "I'm sorry to intrude," she said, rather softly.
The helmet on her head, with its finely sculpted, curling wings on either side, was drawn off, and she rested it on her hip. Hopefully someone would be able to help her! If all else failed, at least she still had her sword...
Thankfully she was approached by a rather ethereal-looking woman, and she bowed her head in reply.

Fragile stood in the shadows outside of the mansion, enjoying the silence of the starlight while trying to summon enough courage to actually enter the mansion. She pulled her dark blue cloak closer to ward off an evening chill. I might as well venture inside. I made the effort to come, it would be foolish to spend the whole time waiting out here.
The elf walked up to the door. She'd seen many others enter without knocking, and that seemed like the best course to avoid too much attention anyway. Fragile slipped inside the door, blinking to adjust to the light. She could hear voices from the dining room, and considered going to meet other guests.

If you were stood at the end of the Mansion's driveway and were as quiet as a little mouse, you'd hear a far-away buzzing noise. You'd hear it get slightly louder every few seconds, as you stood there, and most likely grow increasingly confused as to what on Earth it was.
If you were still stood there several minutes later, you'd find yourself being run over by a particularly noisy, black motorbike. Not the best way to die, even if it was at a Hallowe'en party.
As usual, making an entrance has its drawbacks. Skidding to a halt at the front of the house would surely be dramatic (and brilliant, even if she did say so herself) but driving such a vehicle, for Dana, meant that she was holding her life in the palm of her hand. A hand that is supposed to be helping her steer away from the big, upright leafy things and onto her side of the road, thank you very much. Considering that it was night time and she could barely see a thing, Dana thought she was going so-so, until she turned, very nearly lost her balance and hit a rocky bit of road. Even though she clenched her teeth, they still juddered slightly. Oh, the delights of sounding like a pair of malfunctioning false teeth...
All too soon, realization dawned that she was in fact heading straight for a shiny car. `Uh-oh` was her internal reaction. A sudden swerve and a squeal of brakes later, Dana came to a halt in a small space that would, she figured, do for parking. She didn't look back at the car, who remained blissfully silent, with no grating alarm triggered (this did not mean she hadn't hit it, she knew from experience). She felt reasonably confident; if it all came to trouble she would swear blind that she knew nothing about the phantom motorcycle or its rider - who would appear to be a phantom themselves. She could do un-magic tricks, people would believe her when she said "I just appeared out of nowhere", right? Right...? Driving really was not her forte, but she got around - well enough - without damaging too much of both herself and other peoples' property. Sometimes, anyway. Today might not have gone so well. Oops.
When the dark helmet had been removed, it revealed very pale blonde hair and the relieved feature of the illusionist - which is just a fancy way of saying "magician" without claiming that she'd actually done any kind of magic. That made her an "Ian". Uh, she'd stick with 'illusionist'.
Her black, knee-high buckled boots snapped twigs underfoot (she was convinced the hostess had put them there on purpose, for effect, of course) and a breeze tugged at the opening of her leather jacket. Dana did not intend to arrive as a gothic picture, therefore she had brought with her an extremely bright orange scarf that was at this moment tucked underneath her jacket, and a witch's hat, complete with crooked tip, cobweb and a purple ribbon, which was arguably more black than purple, due to the dark stain that was probably apple Tango. Clumsy? Nah.
Approaching the door quietly, listening to the noise of the people inside. It was obviously quite an event, judging by the various modes of transportation parted outside: horse, car, horse... um, half-crashed motorbike...
Apparently, there was no-one else waiting outside. With a heaved sigh that was mostly for show (anyone watching would've been very impressed by her feigned exasperation), she pretended that she had only just made the decision to forgo subtlety. Bang, bang, her fist landed heavily on the door twice.
"Trick or treat!" Dana yelled at the top of her lungs, trying to suppress amusement already. Hallowe'en parties were a very valid excuse for causing chaos, and this was going to be fun.

"Very inventive indeed" Eä agreed with Evening's comment.
"And if you take a look at the frosting on the cakes over there" She pointed to a huge dish displaying various cupcakes and sweets. "You will notice the sparkly frosting. It's actually skinned ghosts... impressive, aye? The kitchen really surpassed themselves this year!"
The sounds of more delightful Halloween-commotion reached her ears from the hall. Even though Eä felt she hadn't done anything but turning around and twirling that evening, she repeated the movement yet again as new guests entered the dining hall. After all, it was only appropriate and polite too to greet fellow guests by at least doing them the honour and face them as they entered. Likewise, facing your conversation partner when talking required the same undivided attention. And thus Eä found herself turning and twisting allowing her layered tulle skirt to dance about her as she spoke to Evening.
"Trick or treat" A loud voice bellowed through the house. Quickly Eä grabbed the dish with cakes and excitely stormed through the hall towards the door. She hadn't accepted many trick or treaters in her life as she usually stayed in the Halloween-deprived parts of this world, so she wouldn't miss this chance for the world.
Rushing to open the door she bumped into a lady with... a sword.
Eä hesitated and instinctively thrusted the dish forward.
"Ehh, sweets?"

Maeve exited from her poetic reverie and put away her parchment and quill, deciding that it would be better to do her writing after dark when the party wasn't in full swing. She helped herself to some punch and made her way into the dining room where the most sound was emanating. Another party guest, who appeared to be an elf, was entering at the same time. She looked to be a kindred spirit, a poet in disguise. Her eyes was suddenly caught, however, by the absurd sight of the Headless Horseman downing several tasty looking muffins.

((G'night, Eä!))
The door swung open suddenly and a figure stood holding a tray of cakes, looking as though she was trying to contain some manner of excitement. Danna smiled charmingly, and picked a small silver coin out of a pocket (it says quite a lot that she could find such a coin, as she had an abundance of pockets that were filled with objects that she could pull out at a convenient moment) and held it up in front of her face so it glinted in the light of the chandelier.
"How about a trick?" she asked breezily, eyes glittering. Without waiting for an answer, she made a fist, tucked the small coin into the centre of it, blew gently into the crack between her curled-up fingers then opened her hand quickly, dropping tiny particles of silver glitter over the porch like shiny snow. Dusting off her hands, she looked back at Eä, grinning.
"Ooh, what do you know. Gone!" Quickly her attention moved from the woman in front of her to the plate she carried, with the muffins she'd overlooked earlier. Dana gently knocked one off the plate and caught it deftly, excited already at the prospect of free food. "Similarly, this is going to disappear, too," she added as an afterthought.

"Food! Food! Onward!" Nurr cried to anyone who might possibly still be lingering in the entryway. Entering the dining area, she found herself standing next to the Headless Horse-less-man. She gazed upward. Normally she was considered a good sized lady, but next to him she was quite.....yes. "Good evening to you, sir," she said loudly enough to be heard over the chatter. "Could I trouble you so much as to pass over that plate of pastries?"

Before she had much of a chance to reply to her original greeter, Mist suddenly noticed a lady, bearing a dish, who seemed to be in a great rush. She cringed slightly as Ea bumped into her, but smiled. "No, thank you," she replied, eying the contents of the dish rather distrustfully.
At that moment, the door swung open again, and Mist leaped quickly out of the way. Sighing in exasperation, she watched the strange newcomer perform her equally strange trick. "You seem quite trusting of everyone, stranger," she said lightly to Dana, "and you appear to know what you're doing. Would you mind... helping me out?" The last few words sounded a bit forced, as though Mist regretted having to ask for help. "I have no idea where I am or what's going on here, but somehow I seem to have been sent here..." She shrugged, watching Nurr as said person rushed toward the dining room.

There was a chill in the air, colder than normal for this time of the year, the weather was odd that way. Morfinneth and her husband, Celephinnon had arrived late again. "Fashionably late as always," Morfinneth muttered quitely to herself, as they walked up the steps to the mansion. Celephinnon, with his keen Elven ears, heard her words.
"This time," he said, "I am not the one is fully responsible for us being late."
Morfinneth waved a hand at him. "I know, I know," she said. "Let us just forget about it, alright."
"As you wish love," Celephinnon said. "Perhaps we should have my brother bring our son over later, I hear there will be trick-or-treating this year."
The two Elves walked into the foyer and hung the cloaks in the closet. The mansion seemed to look different every year, of course, the host had completely different ideas so that everything did not look the very same every year.
"Come love," Morfinneth said, leading her husband. "Let us go met some of the guests." She scanned around the main room, looking for some familiar faces. She heard a familiar voice in the crowed. Morfinneth then spotted Nurr, heading towards the dinning for the food. "There's my mother," she said and walked into the dinning room and Celephinnon followed suit. "Greetings, mother," Morfinneth said to Nurr.

To save herself from getting stepped on, jabbed or bumped into, PD quickly stepped out of the main walk way and into the dining room. As she stood a safe distance away from all the commotion she thoughtfully watched people come and go. "hmmm," the murmured as she took in the lovely (but slightly spooky in accordance to the holiday they were celebrating) decor of the dining room. She took a big bite out of the delicious muffin Ea had handed her and grinned. In the mean time she noticed that more guests had arrived. PD took another big bite out of her muffin before walking across the dining room to the two newest newcomers. "Hello and welcome, Morfinneth... and Celephinnon too," She greeted them. It was then she noticed Nurr too... as well as the odd headless fellow beside her. She just smiled awkwardly (and warily) at him and then turned to Nurr, "Hi! I didn't see you before!"

She was fashionably late, and that was just the way she liked it.
From the woods strode af figure draped in a hooded cloak of deep purple, throwing her face and body into shadows. On her shoulder perched a black cat with bright green eyes that pierced the darkness. The ominous figure was approaching the Mansion from the opposite direction than most. Why? Because doors were overrated. Anyways, it would be fun to just climb through a window and act as if she had been there the entire time. The figure paused to snicker as she thought of the surprised reactions of the other guests.
Continuing toward the Mansion, she found a window near the back of the ballroom. Now, she just needed to be silent as shadows...she started to pry the window open--
CRRREEEEEAAAAAKKKKK.
The slow, agonizing sound echoed throughout the whole mansion. The cloaked figure flinched. Maybe if she opened it slower...creak, creak, little creaks...stuck.
She couldn't open the window any further, even though she yanked at it with all her might. There was only a little fraction of a space that she could crawl through. She let out a breath--she could still do this, she just needed to be careful...Taking the cat off her shoulder and setting it gently on the ground, the cloaked figure prepared to climb through the window.
She squeezed under the tiny space, and CLUNK!
She was a rather undignified heap on the floor. "Oof..."
With mocking grace, the cat leaped nimbly through the window, inspected the ballroom, and pounced on a miniature pumpkin...decoration...thing.

Deria swept in, late as usual. It really was not her fault this time; she had been held up by a most unfortunate circumstance earlier today. However, she was here now, and that was that. She was wearing something rather flamboyant for the occasion, but she'd always had a taste for the dramatic. Black roses climbed the sides of her crimson dress on either side of a black parting in her skirts, and her deep black cloak was embroidered with 3 roses of the same crimson. Her raven-black hair was done up in a bun with crystal sticks thrust through it.
Looking around as she stepped through the doors, she was intrigued by the decorations and the scene. She pulled out a small black notebook from the folds of her cloak, accompanied by a black pen, and began to write the scene as she moved into a corner.
(Beg pardon for shortness. I was gone all day and am in a hurry tonight. Will be longer tomorrow and following days.)

Fuschia Rivers entered the mansion, rather late, but seemingly, like the others, didn't seem to mind. Dressed in a skirt, and yellow long sleeve shirt, sword at her side, she curiously observing the other guests, she jumped slightly as a big, loud creak reached her ears.
Frowning slightly, hand on the hilt of her very real 'Mr. Sulu' like sword, she managed a smile and walked up to Ea with a big grin plastered on her face, "Hi!" As the words passed her lips, her stomach growled. Chuckling, Fuschia smiled again, "Sorry, Hungry, Is there pudding? How are you by the way? I'm Fuschia, what's your name?"

Maeve took note of the other guests as they arrived, wondering at some of the peculiarities in their dress and name. She took up a muffin that Eä offered around and scarfed it down, not realising how hungry she had been. She admired one guest's sword from afar, slightly afraid to get too close, and noticed another guest taking in the scene in a notebook. She wondered when they would get to explore the rest of the mansion.

The door flew open with a bang.
The Signora Psyche Zenobia entered the room, wearing a crimson satin dress, with sky-blue Arabian mantelet, and trimmings of green agraffas, seven flouces of orange-colored auriculas. The small, dark woman had her head held up high, meaning to cut a fine form as she walked slowly, dramatically into the room.
Meeting with no general applause confused her. She looked about her, to find the room was practically... empty! How could people be so inconsiderate as to go to bed at this late hour, and therefore miss observing the entrance of the Signora Psyche Zenobia?! Such ignorance escaped her. She sat in down in a huff, but quickly assumed a dignified, careless air, in case anyone should come along.
