I recently downsized to a smaller bag, and this is what it usually has in it:

-wallet (driver's license, money, etc.)
-pack of gum
-cell phone
-mp3 player
-random change
-random bits of paper
-a red pen (I like to write with red pens above all others)

Pretty basic, really.

-the tag and plastic thing from a studded blak bracelet
-Joe the rock detective
-and ther meory card to a computer

Here's a tip: always carry pen and paper.These are handy for impromtu autographs. I once met Andy Serkis in a cafe and if I hadn't had my pen and paper i wouldn't have an autograph.

It's pretty clean! now that I've dumped everything out!

Sorry - I was a bit confused when you mentioned purse (we call them handbags!)
