"I agree," Bubbles chimed in, her normal exuberance dampened by the death of her dear friend. "Since we are going to study the evidence and look for clues, the Study is the perfect place to gather." She looked around at the group, still disbelieving that anyone of her friends could be the killer.

Lady Death shivered at the sight of Saffron's body lying wet and cold upon the table. She had been around plenty of dead bodies before, but this one disturbed her. She saw the confliction in her husbands eyes and knew he was thinking of the same thing... or perhaps he was thinking of the girl in the river the other day.

Hearing the discussion going on Lady Death chimed in, "We vote for the study as well. I'm sure there are plenty of maps and other useful tools to be found there."

"Oh, mark my words, Horseman." Tur said darkly, heading for the study. "The one responsible will be the only one 'carried away'." He called over his shoulder. Then, he pulled a pen from his pocket and pulled several sheets from a desk top. He wrote the victim's name, the list of possible culprits, the manner of death, time of death, and clues.

The sheet read:

Remaining silent, Aria stayed hung back from the rest of the group, still trying to grasp how such a thing could have happened.

"Saffron," she said quietly, unbelief ringing in her voice. "<i>Why</i>? Who would want to kill her?"

The vote had almost gone around the entire group by now, and she found no reason to object to the general consensus. "Aye, the study," she said. "I suppose it's the ideal place..." her voice trailed off as she looked around at the other voters, trying to fathom any one of them as a killer. It was ridiculous, and simultaneously frightening.

"Perhaps the Horseman and Bubbles are right. Saffron was very dear to many of us, but the killer could be anyone inside or even outside the mansion," Lady Death said tentatively for fear of injuring those who were grieving. "We shouldn't get too ahead of ourselves and go placing the blame on each other just yet."

Indilwen stepped solemnly into the mansion. The place had a very odor of forboding about it, but if this was where the Hallowfest must be, so be it. She shrugged, glancing around. The silver, shadowy Curon seemed much safer at the moment; hopefully she would go back to it safe and sound. Strange things did happen on the land, after all; one never knew what would happen in a place such as this... She pulled the hood of her pale silver cloak. Noises were coming from all over the place... there were many people, and there was quite a stir... now she just had to find someone.

"At any rate, it may at least give people some peace of mind," Lady Death commented. She couldn't quite understand why everyone was so fearful. Death was so commonplace in her life that it seemed silly to get worked up over one murder.
