To be honest she has been my number 1 suspect since the day the tools went missing because she was the very first person to mention a toolbox and lo and behold there were no tools.
BUT now I'm thinking the whole pie thing was os blatantly obvious and it's not even a clever make-it-so-obvious-so-they-won't-suspect-me plot to throw us off her trail - because she's never even really been mentioned as a suspect. That's what I would expect if either a) she was the killer and we were onto her or b) she's innocent and it's a red herring.

Couldn't the killer have just been taking advantage of the fact that Aria had been baking pies just to lead us astray? It almost seems too obvious for it to be Aria.

I agree, though she has been so adament to use the kitchen and make pies and other delicacies... but I cannot fit the other clues into Aria

So the only clues with these two deaths was the feminine scent that links the killer to a girl and the pie?

That is what I pretty much said.
If I suddenly went along with a spade shovelling horse doo-dooh's and then the next person to be killed was hit over the head with a spade, it would be too obvious it was me, so I would be disregarded as a suspect...... unless I had previously been a real suspicion, and this was a really clever way to make everyone now think it couldn't possibly me be.
Aria has never been (for people other than anyway) a major contender for the murderer, so there would be no need for her to try and fool people into doing something so obvious.
...... although actually now I'm typing this again, I'm leaning towards the fact she might be extra sneaky and this is a sure way no-one would suspect her after this.
And she likes Twilight, she was the first to mention the tools, and she asked Kit days ago whether she could bake or not. I'm not sure where the flowers comes into it, but that could just be a general clue to lead us into thinking the murderer was a female. Aria also means air in Italian... but I have no idea where that would fit in. She also likes POTC.

The flowers is the biggest clue I feel, since that is the one that we always have the hardest time connecting the murderer to the flowers, but that seems to make sense.. I too think she should be added to the list, I have been suspicious of her too throughout the course

Aria is also a musical term- a vocal piece performed by one singer, usually in an opera nowdays. Not that that gives us any new clues, I just thought I'd throw it out there.  I was thinking it could be Aria when Lady Death died, since she likes Twilight, but the pie thing does seem very obvious. Plus, she wasn't the only person making pies. Other people ate pie without any ill effects, so Tur and Ellie's pieces were probably "targeted".

Of course, another point in favor of Aria being the killer is that she loves coffee, and all of Kit's special coffee has gone missing. However, I agree that the pie thing is too obvious. But then... there reaches a point where "too obvious" is hard to define. A Jack Sparrow quote comes to mind: "Unless of course he knew you wouldn't believe the truth, even if he told it to you." 
I agree that Aria should be added to the suspects list.

The other clues could mean other people... but the toolbox did it for me. It was a really weird thing to suddenly ask for (or I thought so anyway) and then what are the chances of Kit being there almost right away and there were no tools?

That is very true, though hasn't Kit said there could be more than two killers, maybe some of the clues link to one person and the others to another suspect...

Hmmm...I'm starting to suspect Aria now.  All of those reasons make absolute sense to me. Jocelyn has been my main suspect from the beginning, but now Aria's right up there.... _________________

@ JF: The coffee is another point to bring up. Aria was the one asking after it, and Kit was immediately there with a response.

I would like to state.
It was never specified what type of food Elegost and Turwaithion were eating when they kicked the bucket. The situation I gave was just that the were eating food, and Elegost inserted the fruit pie for context.
Just saying.
