Having made no plans concerning the day, Aria nodded and smiled at Lady Death's invitation, simultaneously helping herself to a slice of cake. "Very interested," she admitted. "Graveyards have always held a certain poetic inspiration for me... and a walk would be most welcome after spending so much time indoors yesterday."

"Oh, wonderful!" Lady Death said excitedly as though planning a picnic outing rather than a trip to a graveyard. "When would you like to go?"

(Hah! That's great, Lady Death. I guess it's bad that I do go bike riding in our cemeteries just for fun. Heh. I guess morbid personalities are just a given when you live in New Orleans.)
Catherine shook her head. "No, I think I shall take a walk about the gardens instead. They were so very lovely, I wished to see more of them."

Fragile brightened at the mention of a graveyard. She decided to tag along with the party if they did choose to go to the graveyard. Finishing the first cup of tea, she poured a second, and as she sipped it began to feel more like herself again.

"I'd like to go before it gets dark though," Lady Death said anxiously, "I don't mind going places by myself, but being in the dark is not a situation I'd like to find myself in." She pushed back her chair and got up, smoothing down the front of her gown. "Should I meet all of you in the front lawn then?"

"Why not after breakfast then?" asked Aria. "It's such a fine morning, too splendid to waste. Besides, there may be activities on later in the day that I wouldn't want to miss."
Finishing up her last bite of cake, she turned to the rest of the guests. "Anyone else up for it?"

"I'll come along," Fragile said quietly, standing up and carefully setting her empty tea cup on the table.

Indilwen glided toward where the voices appeared to be coming from, trying to catch bits and pieces of the conversation. She peeked shyly through the door, and saw a bunch of guests inside, drinking tea.

Jocelyn ate her pear with vigor and threw the core away before seeing everyone beginning to leave. "I guess I shall get some drawing done..." She smiled and with a soft bow of her head to anyone who was watching she left the room and headed out towards the gardens.

Seeing Indilwen standing alone, Aria gestured towards the table. "Would you like some tea?" she offered with a smile. "OR perhaps you would care to join us for a walk - we're going down to the graveyards. It's such a lovely day, is it not?"

Placing a cloak about her shoulders Lady Death waited patiently for the rest of her fellow guests to finish up. She picked up a scone and decided that Lord Death might like one to eat. Seeing the newcomer she smiled kindly, "It'd be wonderful if you could join us. The more the merrier is what I always say."

Indilwen clasped her hands behind her back, underneath her cloak. "A walk might be nice..." she said slowly. "I'm not much accustomed to graveyards, and I'd like to get more acquainted with them.... or, I mean, I want to see it and... well, to tell you the truth, I've never actually been in one... so I think I'd like to go." She finished, breathing heavily and mentally chiding herself for such a rambling speech.

"Good then!" said Aria brightly, "Let's be off!"
The sun was higher than she'd figured, and the dew was beginning to slip away from the grass. The air was lovely and fresh, Aria gulped it like water, feeling very alive - very grateful for the aliveness - and had to restrain herself from skipping.

Indilwen slipped out the door, looking up at the sun. She marched along behind Aria, surveying the grounds as she did so. "How far is the graveyard?" she asked, trying to summon up her wits for a bit of conversation, as she considered polite.

Fragile followed, several steps behind Aria. She pulled up her hood to shield her eyes from the bright sunlight. She felt completely refreshed by the tea, and now the walk in the crisp air felt beautiful.

Lady Death followed at a swift pace behind Aria in the direction of the cemetery. Her mood lifted as they got closer and she was sure it had something to do with the feeling of familiarity that came along with graveyards. After all, how many graveside services had she and her husband attended during their time as Lord and Lady Death?
She smiled at the site of her husband who was standing beside a rather old looking tombstone. He turned toward her as she approached. "Do you remember this one?" he asked knowing that only she would know what he was speaking of.
