XD I spent waaay too much time at the Hallowfest last year Kit, you'd be surprised by the studies I did.
Is this really all ending tomorrow?
Ok, I'm back now. I don't care if Frank Lapidus knocks at the door now, I ain't going anywhere.
....
It's true!
So.... let's have a look at the clues and such things. First my ponderings.
1) I will be disappointed if it's Maeve, just because the "take that" clue instantly made even the dumb ones among us *coughmecough* think of a revenge killing. And as the time has gone on, Maeve is the number one suspect for that one clue alone.. so if it turns out to be Maeve.. eh.. I'll be sad.
2) I know we get vague clues every year, but we usually get vague clues that make us go "Oh, yeah... that makes sense". A few of our theories are very much *making" the clue match the person, rather than the clue suiting perfectly, so I think we need to be careful with some of them.
Having said that.... I also think it could be Maeve.
The line from the Wizard of Oz... well I know that Maeve likes Wicked.
Canis Major is also a dog, and Maeve likes dogs.
LL could be for LareL.
BUT, I don't for one minute believe that the second ticket is for Kit or either of the servants. So it's either a spouse or a co-murderer. Which could mean that we are looking at two reasons why people have been killed. Nurr killed by Maeve for revenge, and everyone else by Killer Number 2 for some other reason. But with Maeve the spous theory would have to be discounted as she came alone.
And some clues I just can't get to fit with her.
Take That - must mean revenge as although Maeve likes Stardust, I don't think it's something that is so "WHOA!" like Harry Potter or anything, for it to be meaningful. It made more sense for me.
New Zealand/Australia - I think most of us would want to visit there.
And there a few others which could mean other people, or we're just trying to make things fit.
What has Lord of the Flies got to do with the plane? I don't know the story at all.
And this is probably nothing, but where did the tape Kit found in her hair the other morning, come from?

In the book, Lord of the Flies, there is a band of children to near teenager survive a plane crash and they have to survive with each other on an island all by their themselves.
Also: The tape thing is a loose reference to my post:
Kitoky wrote: [The Horseman and Sparkle's scene was momentarily frozen in time like someone had hit the pause button in attempt to go salt their popcorn more and in the foreground, there could be seen a small bobbing head of a person that <i>might've been maybe 4' 10"</i>. It was entirely debatable. There seemed to be some rustling and what not at the bottom of your screen (be it movie or television, it is not a lick of importance to me), and soon Kit could be seen quite up close to the camera with the help of, one could assume, a stool.
With her tongue sticking out to indicate her concentration at her task, she reached up to the top of your screen (be it movie or television, it is not a lick of importance to me or her for that matter) to the audience material content disclaimer where it had already stated: <b>T: Teen - For Somewhat Entertaining and Rather Humorously Dark Graphic Murders, Disturbing Images, and Questionable Morals</b>, she taped up <b>NOT-VERY-SUBTLE ROMANTIC SUGGESTIVENESS</b>.
She then bounded off her stool and retreated away, and the scene resumed for all it was worth.]

I can't change my status or else I won't be able to have the pretty rainbow stars anymore and then I... don't think I'd be able to do much in the way of the Moderator either.

For all intensive purposes, Kit has now become a legend.
Or a leg-end, depending on the person.

I thought you could change at least your status from moderator to ghost... or ghostly mod...
Nice move getting yourself killed.
Allow me to congratulate!
Anyway, nice summaries, JF. I think I forgot to appreciate them!

*Mumbles something about Alice in Wonderland and wells*
Didn't the Mouse have a story about the well during the Tea Party?

Oh I'm so happy if Alice in Wonderland is the clue and not a freaking dog! Although, the starry dog, Canis Major, might play a part too.
Alice in Wonderland - Tim Burton - we've got a lot of Burton fan's. And also, there are so many connections to Tim Burton to be made... movies, actors... Johnny Depp anyone!
Second, Kit is mentioning the Shakespeare-quote (one of my favorites, by the way , referring to the world as being a stage. So we've got Shakespeare and theatre as a potential clue.
Though, it might also imply that it's fake, it's all a play....

Oh of which play? Sheakspeare would be an awesome clue indeed. Mist mentioned Shakespeare in her profile.. And I shall look into Maeve's opinion about Shakespeare as well

That's a Shakespeare quote from As You Like It.
Note to those who suspect Rosa: one of the main characters is Rosalind.
The other is Orlando.
It could also be a reference to acting, although we don't have any actors this year. *ponders*

It's from As You Like It.
I still have the feeling it might be fake... like what we see, is merely a play before our eyessss.
Anyway, full text...
JAQUES:
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side,
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
[I'm off to bed... ]

Or it could be just a red herring..
Last year half of the clues were red herrings..
