Haha, only cause you shut us down, Kit. A good call, but slightly disappointing. I was hoping for a ridiculous 30some pages today.
But we can still discuss clues in here. Not that we're really getting anywhere, just going in circles...

I have this strange feeling that we overadvertised the Hallowfest.

I bet it would have gotten there too. Anyway, shall we continue collecting up the clues? *pats Kit and JF* We love you dears.
Fountain + Water = PotC? Perhaps
Map = history? But what era? Someone mentioned Columbus.
One, both, or neither red herrings?
Cat gone missing. Important?

I honestly just added the Columbus thing in because of the whole flat map thing---and to emphasize just how old the thing was. I don't even know where the map is now. I must've put it in some safety vault along with the weapons of mass destruction that Tur brought.

I think that the missing cat is super important. If it weren't, it wouldn't have mattered that someone had godmodded it at one point. But Kit had to clarify that the cat was absolutely gone.
But that might just be because the cat is going to play into one of the later murders.

Hmm...*ponders information*
I don't know why anyone would purposely place a map next to a victim, unless it were a red herring.
Random: The term 'red herring' always makes me think of Swedish Fish. O.o
The fountain/PotC connection seems like a stretch to me. I mean, nobody would have known Saffron was knocked unconscious first unless she said so. (Or unless we have forensic scientists floating around...O.o) So, the drowning could easily be a cover-up. Or something.
-EDIT-
I too think that the disappearance of my fictional cat is important! Just how important...I don't know. But good call about the god-moding, Tar. Suspicious, hmm...

Haha, I figured I could stretch the clue a bit, because last years clue were so far out there.
Also, red herring makes me think of two things. Swedish fish, funny enough. Also, A Pup Named Scooby Doo, where one of the kids was named Red Herring.
And we don't know if the map was purposely placed there, or whether it was dropped.

Lol. Look whose still awake and has to go to school tomorrow. Pssh... it's almost 4 in the morning here and I'll have to get up in a few hours anyway.
Yeah, I'm the one who brought up Columbus again, but I suppose it's not important anymore since Kit just added that bit to emphasize how old the map is. Gah, and I thought I was actually on to something. Anyway, are we still on the PotC stuff? I'm not saying that's not probable, it's just obvious.
That bloody cat is going to be the death of us all. [No pun intended.]

It's times like these where I wish I wasn't in the know about things.

I'm still really pretty clueless as I try to piece this all together. It's quite insane. I need to make a list of every thing I find suspicious and see if any of it fits together.
One piece of encouragement for those who have been overwhelmed by the speed: if I had to guess I'd say it will be a LOT slower during the week, when we all have classes. I'm on Fall Break right now, but starting on Wednesday I'm back at school, and will be very hard-pressed indeed to find time to post.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but YAY FOR SCHOOL!!
Okay. I'm done with my short outburst of glee. ^^
I like investigating my own murder, though I'm not too good at it. xD
And I'm already suspicious of a few people...*looks around* ...But I'm not going to say just who I'm suspicious of quite yet.

I'm trying to remember if it slowed down any more during the schoolweek last year.... though the Hallowfest was only a week last year, and it started on a Wednesday and promptly ended on a Wednesday I do believe.
