Perhaps instead of thinking who it is, we should go through the names of who it isn't.
For an example, let's just take me:
- Missing tools [anyone could have taken them, this doesn't point to a specific person I don't think]
- Water [I hate the thought of drowning so would I drown someone?]
- An old map [I like old things but not particularly anything to do with the sea]
- Missing cat [urm... I like cats but would I steal one?]
- Twilight [never read them]
- Flower-scented carpet [I like flowers]
- Poisoned food [?]
- Female [I'm guilty...although my character is a male...]
- Missing coffee [dislike coffee]
- Coffee found in candy bucket [^]
- Coffee maker used to kill [Eä] [^]
- Acting for Dummies: 101 Tips [?]
- Strangled by curtains [?]
- LotR piano sheet music [own some]
- Turkish delight from pinata [I like Turkish delight]
- And Then There Were None, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Tales of the Empire, and The Silmarillon [I have never read the Silmarillion or Tales of the Empire, but I am guilty to being a Christie fan]
Wow, that was weird. Trying to find links between me and the clues.
But anyway, I think that's what we should do for all the suspects and see who it can't possibly be, and strike them from the list.
