Hearing the rather loud and uncouth announcement made by the dear hostess, Maeve made her way to the secret headquarters under the stairs feeling very much like that Boy Wizard she was so fond of reading about. She made herself comfortable in an armchair and awaited the rest of the guests.

The Horseman wandered downstairs, knowing that the litte horr--dahhhhlings had gone. He heard raised voices and gathered his presence was needed in the headquarters.

Kitty sighed when she heard Kit's exclaimation, realizing that the conversation would go no further tonight. Gathering up Arlie Faye, who had just glided into the kitchen, Kitty joined the others in the secret closet.

PD, again, made herself comfortable in the small closet. Well, she thought, at least she wasn't embarrassingly late this time so she could actually get a good seat before the closet got really cramped.
