alright, i'm starting to work on a fanfic, which i think a few here know already. i haven't done much of the story writing as of yet since i am just in the brainstorming stage right now getting all my ideas down so i don't go back later making a million changes, although i already wrote a brief preview on it. anyway, i need alittle help on making a decision. i can't decide on what i should do about Haldir at Helm's Deep. (no, he's not going to die at Helm's Deep in my fanfic) i can't decide if i should have my OFC save him from his fate for a more heroic part or to have him be hit and have everyone think he was dead but finding out he was actually still alive just badly wounded making more dramatic.

i can't come to a decision on my own so i'm wondering what you all think is better, thanks a bunch

I'd say heroic, personally.

I'd say dramatic, just because the idea of an almost death could have some interesting side twists. Actually, it could have a lot of amusing ones too. Good luck with your fanfic daughter, I am always amazed by people that can write those!

Heroic.

May just be me, though, I'm not one for dramatic stuff.

Well, I would have to say dramatic. I love it whenever the "hero" has to overcome an injury without actually ending up dead ("actually alive but just badly wounded...") as you suggested. It's great to watch your favorite or one of your favorites rise to the ocassion I mean. For another thing as Nurrantiel said dramatic stories can "... have some interresting side twists". There are just so many awesome places that you could take the story from there. So yeah I voted for dramatic.

I prefer Dramatic because i think that a dramatic history is more beautiful than a heroic history !!! !!! :-D

Heroic, but if you are likely to go over the top (no offence) then dramatic :-D
