This is a thread for cooling off, hanging out, taking a walk through the garden, smelling the flowers, you can make crafts with some of the flowers if you wish, and being a bit more random and just goofy for this year's ball. Please, enjoy! ...

Walking quietly through the gardens which were giving off a feeling of peacefullness, Daerka stopped to pluck a few poppies from their stems. Weaving the stems in and out of eachother she managed to make a wreath of flowers that she placed in her hair satisfactorily.

Catching sight of Gwearyan, she ran to catch up. Slipping her arm through the other girls and giggling slightly she said,"Enjoying yourself dear?"

Running from the direction of the Party Tree, Goldie lost sight of Merry and Pippin. Eventually she came to the gardens, a welcome relief from the craziness of the hobbits. She walked slowly down the trail, mesmorized by the many colors of the flowers. Eventually she meandered through the fields, bending down to smell flowers as she went. Goldie plucked a golden flower from its stem and tucked it behind her ear. She was hopeless with identifying the species of anything, but she knew the flower was good-sized and beautiful. She continued walking along the trail, as the lights began to shine brighter beneath the shade of trees.

Thank you for five-plus wonderful years of obsession, friendship and fun

Frodo had led the group, and the fireworks, all of the way to the gardens. It was in site of the main party event, but far enough away that Gandalf wouldn't notice. Placing the fireworks down, Prisca commented on how Frodo thought of a good place to set them off, and the plot then continued in a field not too far away from the gardens.

Merry and Pippin were the first to set their's up. Sam followed soon after, with Frodo next in line. Prisca couldn't seem to figure out how to get her fireworks into the ground, so Frodo helped her secure them.

"Oh great," Merry thought aloud, "Anyone bring matches?"
Everyone shrugged their shoulders and looked at anyother person for the next few moments with constant "I thought you had them"s.

"Ok, I will get them," Merry said and soon ran off to the Party Tree to find where the matches were.

"So.. what do we do now?" Prisca asked.
"Um..." Frodo responded, "Let's go around the gardens."
"I'm coming," Pippin mingled together.
"And.. I'll make sure no one messes with the fireworks," Sam replied.
"You do that," Prisca giggled back.

Merry returned back to the garden with the box of matches. The party was winding down for the night, and he only found Sam by the fireworks. Once Merry asked where Frodo, Pippin, and Prisca were, Sam told him that they were strolling around the garden waiting for him.

"Fair enough," Merry said, "I was just thinking as I walked over here that... let's hold this off. I mean, the party's winding down. Stashing them and waiting for tommorrow would give more excitement to this venture."

Sam nodded his head in agree, and both Merry and Sam heard a voice yell for them. "Welcome back Merry," Pippin exclaimed as Frodo, Prisca and himself were running towards the fireworks, "What did you say?"

"We are going to hole off until tommorrow because the party is dieing down," Sam summed up for Merry.

"Fair enough," Frodo agreed.
"But.." Prisca interuppted, "We can't just leave these all here, in the open."
"We won't," Merry comforted Prisca as he looked towards Frodo.
"That's right," Frodo agreed, understanding Merry's minimal body language, "We shall all stay at Bag End for the night, and we will bring the fireworks with us."
"That works for me," Prisca smiled.

"Alright," Frodo gave orders and took up two fireworks from the ground, handing both to Prisca and then taking two for himself, "Let's go."

Arriving at Bag End, the five hobbits laid there fireworks down in one of the back rooms and we sorted out for sleeping arrangements. Merry and Pippin shared a room. Sam slept in the room next door. Frodo slept where he normally sleeps, and he showed Prisca her room on the other side of the house.

Poppy and Edward arrived at the party and strolled into the garden. They knew they wouldn't be staying too long, so they kept to themselves, strolling along the well-kept paths through beds of colorful flowers.

After a few minutes, Poppy saw a worn stone bench that looked inviting and pointed it out to Edward. They sat down upon it, and Poppy laid her head on Edward's shoulder, yawning. Edward, of course wasn't tired - he never slept. But Poppy was still a bit worn out from the excitement of last night.

Daisy skipped over to the gardens from the party tree, and spotted Poppy and Edward on a bench by themselves. Grinning mischievously, Daisy gathered a bunch of various flowers, crept up behind the two, and showered them in violets, daisies, and roses.
"Hey Poppy! Beautiful morning isn't it?"

Poppy was startled out of her reverie as flower petals showered down over her and Edward.

"Oh! Hello, Daisy!" she said with a smile. "It truly is a beautiful day."

"All the more beautiful with you two lovely ladies here," Edward grinned.

"I think we should head over to the Party Tree, now, Edward dear," Poppy suggested. "We haven't seen the beautiful decorations yet!"

So with a wave to Daisy, the two headed over to the enormous tree.

A turn about the garden turned into more than an hour of roaming through the hedges and plucking flowers in order to make more chains which Daerka wore as necklaces and bracelets. She took little notice to the time even as the sky began to darken.

Drew and Will strolled into the gardens and gave a wave to all present. Drew was now back into her ball attire as was Will. However Drew and Will's hair were still kind of wet from swimming. Drew leaned heavily against Will's chest and right shoulder. She was very tired from swimming. She yawned as Will put his arm gently around her. "You okay, Love" Will asked. "I am fine just tired and enjoying be here at the ball with all of my wonderful friends and with you", Drew replied. Will smiled as they continued to walk about the gardens. After a few minutes Will stooped down and began to make a chain of flowers. "What are you doing" Drew asked. Will stood up and put the flower chain around Drew's neck. "Oh it is beutiful thank you" Drew said with a smile. Will smiled back at her and put his arm around Drew's shoulder, allowing her to lay her head upon his shoulder as they walked about the garden.

Haldir and Myrtle wandered through the gardens. They spotted Will and Drew nearby and other folk as well. "This way," Haldir said grabbing his wife's hand and lead her up a hill. A fairly large stood upon the hilltop overlooking the gardens below. They both sat down underneath the tree and leaned their backs against the trunk and gazed upon the gardens. Myrtle could only guess that Haldir brought her up there because they were a good distance away from others and he could act the way he wanted in front of his wife. "The view up here is lovely," Myrtle said softly. "It is," Haldir replied and placed a gentle kiss upon Myrtle's forehead. Haldir was not one to be romantic but he could be really sweet when he wanted to.

Will and Drew smiled and waved at Myrtle and Haldir when they first entered the garden. Drew and Will stopped to smell some roses. "They are so beutiful", Drew commented. Will looked up at Drew and replied, Yes they are beutiful but they pale in comparison to you". Drew's checks then turned the color of her brilliantly red dress. She knew and loved that Will was a romantic but he still managed to catch her off gaurd sometimes. Will cupped Drew's face in his hands and kissed her. When he broke the kiss, Drew sighed, smiled, and took Will's hand gently into her own as they returned to their walk.

Myrtle noticed that Haldir wiggled around slightly a couple of times. Their clothes were still wet from swimming and she could guess that Haldir's wet leggings were not comfortable. She tried not to laugh but a small one slipped through. Haldir eyed her oddly as he knew what she was laughing at, then he smirked mischievously. "Haldir, what are you smirking at?" Myrtle asked. He said nothing as he gently laid his wife down on the ground on her back and began to tickle her stomach. She was very ticklish and he knew it, he just enjoyed teasing her. "Haldir no!" She said between laughs. "Not the tickling!" His smirk only grew. "Yes the tickling." Myrtle tried to wiggle free as she laughed but failed. "Oh no you don't, you are not going anywhere," Haldir said as he now held her down and continued to tickle her.
