After several long dances Ilmarë and Severus who were both breathing rather heavily from so much dancing tumbled into the garden hand in hand. Ilmarë laughed a bit drunkenly from drinking so much Elven made wine and fell back onto the grass pulling Severus along with her. She entwined her arm with his and the two sat in silence, watching the stars up above. |

Eruraina and Haldir walked into the gardens, they too were quite empty. They spotted Ilmarë and Severus nearby so they turned and headed for the opposite side of the gardens leaving them to their privacy. They sat down under a tree facing the gardens. "You sure wanted to disappear from the dance floor fast as soon as that small group came in," she said. "They were too noisy," Haldir simply answered. "They were not that noisy, you're just easily annoyed." Haldir sighed and wrapped an arm around Eruraina's shoulder, pulling her closer to him. He didn't want to argue with her. "I just want peace and quiet. Is that so much to ask for? Because it sure seems like it around here." Eruraina reached for his free hand and held it. "It's quiet and peaceful right now." She picked her head up and looked into his eyes and smiled. "Why not make the best of it." Haldir smiled in return. He said nothing and he titled his head and kissed her. |

Sirius and Ranuel walked around the gardens, admiring the moonlit flowers and the tall silver mallorns. Sirus picks a flower for Ranuiel and they fall into a soft discussion, holding hands. |

Riniel entered the gardens with a deep sigh. It was wonderful to be able to come to a place like this and rest amidst all the stress of life. She closed her eyes and sat down in the grass and among the flowers, enjoying the soft light the stars shed on Lorien. |

Eruraina sensed more people coming into the gardens. "Are you going to flee from this group as well?" she asked pulling away from the kiss. "No," Haldir answered. "They are quiet." He gently pulled Eruraina's head closer to him and rested it upon his shoulder. They gazed up at the stars above and it was at that moment, Eruraina saw a falling star and smiled, thinking back to a familiar memory of the exact same setting. "Haldir, do you remember?" she asked. Haldir grinned and said, "I do." |

Elenriel and Legolas strode softly into the gardens, seeking a moment of serenity from the festivities. Seeing other couples scattered throughout the garden, a small traced Elenriel’s lips as the pair found a secluded area among the beauty of woods. With that she sat upon the soft grass, her husband quickly sat beside her. “The stars are beautiful tonight.” she breathed softly as she gazed at the heavens, admiring the soft starlight that bathed the woods. Legolas nodded his assent “Yet the beauty of the stars pales in comparison with yours.” he whispered softly in her ear as he drew against him. Elenriel blushed slightly at his statement, a small smile tracing her lips. “You flatter me far too much, dear prince.” she responded playfully. “Hardly. I spoke nothing more than the truth. You, sweet princess, are certainly most fair.” he responded with a smile as he gently began to run his fingers through her hair. Elenriel’s smile widened as she gazed lovingly into her husband’s eyes. “And you , dashing prince, are the most charming man I have ever known. I would share this evening with none but you.” she whispered back. With that Legolas tilted her chin upwards and brushed his lips against hers in a passionate kiss. |

Both Haldir and Eruraina looked up at the stary sky and at the same time, both thinking back to the very first memory during their courting days. Haldir carefully lifted Eruraina and placed her into his lap and lightly wrapped his arms around her waist. "Are you feeling alright?" he whispered placing a hand on her stomach. Eruraina only smiled. "Haldir, I am perfectly fine, you need not worry so much." She was only at the beginning and if he was worried now, she could only image how worried he would be at the end. "But I am worried," he replied kissing the top of her head. Maybe it was the whole 'first time father' thing getting to him and he wanted to do everything in his power to make sure his wife was comforable during the whole ordeal. "I promise, I will be alright. You should not worry so much, too much worrying is bad for you." Haldir just laughed. He couldn't think of anything to add to what his wife said, instead he just planted other kiss on top of Eruraina's head. |

Peter and Elenya walked into the gardens side by side, taking in the beautiful moonlit scenery. Not wanting to bother the other couples, they found a secluded area near a small stream and sat in the grass. "Well, it's been a good ball, hasn't it?" Elenya said softly. Peter nodded. "Thank you for coming with me." Elenya smiled. "No, thank you!" They sat for a moment, enjoying the peace. Suddenly, though, faint cries for help broke through the silence. Elenya looked up at Peter and smiled as they stood. "Well, I guess you'd better get going!" He smiled too and gave her a hug. "I'll see you around." With that he was off, shooting webs and swinging through the trees. |
