The golden sun of midday came streaming down sluggishly upon the lush lawn of the castle. The teasing wind was tainted with the soft scent of sakura blossoms and the little petals of the flower itself, drifted through their trees and branches, only to paint the grass in whispers of pink. Below the raised hill at the edge of the grass, lay a golden carpet of sand and beyond that, the glistening shoreline of the sea's turquoise waters.

The four couples of newlyweds stood together in the garden, about to raise a toast. There was a large white canopy on the lawn, with tables and chairs inside laid with food, champagne and the wedding cake, which was four-tiered, chocolate sponge with white icing and intricate petal decorations. Attendants darted in and out of the castle preparing for the guests who would soon arrive.

Goldleaf smiled round at everyone. She was dressed in simple white with white roses in her golden hair; Boromir was dressed in Gondorian black and silver.
"Here's to all of us," she declared, and raised her champagne glass. Boromir smiled down at her and nodded.
"Aye," he said, raising his glass then taking a sip. "To us."

Aranel smiled at her new husband and raised her glass. "To us," she chorused, and raised it to her lips. "Hear hear," said Itachi, and mimicked her movements.

Shaking her head, she smiled at her daughter Goldleaf and said, "Forgive him, he is not a man of much words." Then she winked and proceeded to fuss over Boromir.

Boromir smiled at his new mother-in-law. He drank some more champagne. "Lovely day today, is it not?" he asked. Goldleaf laughed and looked over at her mother.

"You must forgive him also," she said jokingly, "for he is also a man of little words."

Even In Darkness [Updating]

Aranel smothered her laughter and replied to her new son in law, "It is lovely!" She looked at her daughter and her eyes sparkled, from joy or mischief, who knows? "It seems you have chosen well then. For Boromir seems like your father. Although he is a bit more cheerful." Unfortunately the last comment did not go unnoticed and Itachi stared at her, black eyes unblinking. Aranel stuck her tongue out at him and turned to Enno.

"I can't believe it either. It seems like a dream doesn't it? My dears, you all look lovely." She turned back to stare at her husband and saw him fiddling with his yukata.

"Itachi, I thought you'd prefer traditional Japanese clothing..."she muttered. "Must you find a flaw in everything?"

Itachi grunted and proceeded to stand as still as a statue.

"Oh honestly! Maybe Boromir is NOT like your father after all dear," she said to Goldleaf.

"I should hope I am not at all so grim as your husband, madam," Boromir laughed, smiling at Aranel. "Though I do have my moments."
Goldleaf shook her head then looked back at her mother. "He has a much better sense of humour than dear father," she grinned.

Melda walked trough the slowly gather crowd, moving as close as she could toward the newlyweds.
"Hallo!" she laughed. "I'd come closer, but I'd be pushed into you."
She laughed again, and pushed her razor cut chin-length hair out of her eyes. Her red dress rustled slightly as she moved a couple of steps forward, and grinned.
"I'd congratulate you all individually, but that'd take up most of your evening. So, congratulations to all of you!"
She raised the champagne glass she'd been carrying and took a sip.
"May you have to put up with eachother for the rest of your lives." She laughed softly again, and smiled widely.

Aranel waved her hand at Boromir. "No need to call me madam, dear. It makes me feel really old. Mom should suffice. And you're right, you're not as grim." At that, she shot a glare at Itachi's direction, who it seemed, was determined to ignore all the glares and comments she sent in his direction.

"Your father does have a sense of humour, it's just that he doesn't really like formal occasions...and crowds, or maybe it's just people on the whole." She gave a quiet laugh.

Itachi could only stare at her.

"Ah lookie here. Melda darling! Thank you! I think, the last part has me flustered."

Melda laughed at Aranel. "Of course I meant that in the nicest way possible."
She then looked at Enno and rolled her eyes, "Marriage? me? Are you kidding? No, not at the moment thankyou." She laughed again. "Though one day I don't doubt I'll be stuck with someone who'll put up with me."
She flashed a grin at Enno then tried for an innocent smile, her attempt at which failed miserably.

"Thank you Enno, for the compliment!" Aranel chuckled and drained her glass. "It can be said in the nicest way possible, but it is a scary thing. You're right Melda, don't go rushing into things. You'll find someone, sooner or later."

She looked over at her husband, Itachi and whispered, "Just make sure he's not like my husband. It turns into a pain after a while, and we've only been married less than a day." She said this of course as a joke, to lighten the mood.

Goldleaf drank some champagne and smiled at Melda. "Melda! You made it," she said, and nudged Boromir, who cleared his throat and smiled before inclining his head.
"Nice to meet you," he said.

EC walked in hand in hand with Jack, her red hair showing an auburn shade in the light. She turned to Jack smiling letting out a small laugh as Jack loosened the suit he had been made to wear. "You promised i could change." He says fiddling with the tie. "Yes, Yes, but i didnt say when." She replied tightening the tie only a bit. EC walks ahead dragging jack in smiling as she see's her relatives. "Hello again!" She says excited refraiming from waving her hands round loonaticshy.
