The day was fine and clear, and the sun shone down brightly. Nerissa stood in the garden, waiting for her guests to arrive. The garden was small but comfortable, with a hedge surrounding it. A white arbor stood at the far end, with tall honeysuckle plants in full bloom behind it. Rows of benches had been set up, with mint green bows on the ends. ~~~~~~~~~~ Nerissa sighed happily. "How quickly this day has come..." She wore a flowing gown of white, with lacy sleeves and a long train. Her long, dark hair was swept up on top of her head; over her hair was a delicate veil. |

Aranel whisked past everyone at a quick speed with her husband Itachi following at a much calmer pace a few feet behind her. "Itachi! Hurry up!" she scolded and rushed towards Nerissa. Hugging her tightly, she squealed excitedly, "Neri dear! I'm so glad I made it in time!" She moved away so that Itachi could also embrace her. "Congratulations!" |

Neri hugged Nellie back. "Thank you so much, dear! I'm so glad you made it!" She motioned to the front of the rows of benches. "You and Itachi really need to sit towards the front... You are family... and a much-loved part of the family, indeed. Plus, you know a lot more on how these weddings are supposed to run," she whispered, winking. |

Aranel laughed softly and replied, "If you say so. Though, it's only when it came to my own wedding did I get the hang of it." She sat down next to Itachi and looked around. "Everything looks so beautiful. You did a fine job indeed!" |

Nerissa smiled, although she still looked a bit fidgety. "Why thank you! You really ought to see my bouquet... although I don't think Itachi would like it too well if you caught it." She laughed. "The pre-wedding jitters are starting to get to me..." |

Aranel tittered at Nerissa and smiled. "Maybe you should sit down for a while, until your other guests arrive of course. The nerves are expected! And I would love to see your bouquet except - " Itachi grinned at Nerissa and said, "...Though of course you're right. There is no way I'm allowing my wife to catch the bouquet!" Aranel giggled softly. |

Nerissa giggled also and sat down. "You know I was kidding..." she said playfully. "But then again, Nellie was always quite a one for mischief-making..." she smiled teasingly. "I think a few moments of rest might do me good." |

Itachi just laughed. "Yes, she's quite the mischief maker alright!" Aranel made a face at him and turned to Nerissa. "You're one to talk," she said in a teasing tone, smiling impishly. |

Enno walked quickly into the garden, looking around and smiling when she realized she wasn't that late. She looked around for Neri and spotted her at the back of the garden with Nellers. "Neri!" She called. "Congratulations, you look beautiful." Enno looked around as she reached Neri, "Everything does. Sawyer couldn't make it I'm afraid." |

Nienna peeked into the garden before coming in. She grinned at Neri, Aranel and Enno and waved, followed closely by her own husband to be, Karl. "Congratulations Cousin Nerissa!! Today's your big day!!" She called to Nerissa. |

Nerissa grinned at Nellie. "Well, I have to give you a hard time once in a while..." She turned to Enno and embraced her. "Thank you so much! I'm so sorry to hear that Sawyer wasn't able to come. Maybe we'll have to save him some cake? It's chocolate... and big... and delicious looking!" Hearing Nienna, she turned around to face her. She gave her a big hug. "Thank you, Cousin Nienna dear! Your own wedding is not that far away now, either!" She took a flower out of the little bunch that was in her hair and stuck it behind Nienna's ear. "There... for the bride-soon-to-be." |

Aranel chuckled. "Once in a while..." She shook her head still laughing and turned to Enno and Nienna. "Hello! Everything looks lovely doesn't it? And Neri is the epitome of beauty today. I keep thinking that Walter is very lucky indeed." She winked at Nerissa and grinned. |

Goldleaf and Boromir walked into the garden towards the other guests, smiling. Goldleaf was dressed in blue with flowers in her hair, and Boromir was wearing his usual formal Gondorian garb. Grinning, Goldleaf waved. "Nerissa! Hope you're not getting nervous!" she said. |

Gilthoniel walked into the garden on Edmund's arm, beaming at her only daughter. 'Neri, my dear, I'm so excited for you! *sniffle* You've become so grown-up! It seems only yesterday I adopted a little baby Neri... *sniff* ...just a little baby Neri in diapers.....' *sniffle, cry, bawl on Edmund's shoulder* *Ed takes Gilly somewhere quiet to console her* |

Nienna hugged her cousin back, grinning as Neri placed the flower behind her ear, "I know. And thank you for the flower!! All this wedding business is rather exciting!" Karl patted Nia on the head, making her turn and hug him, "I'm so happy for you Neri!" |
