![]() The Party Tree
This year we have been granted the opportunity to conduct our ball in the fields of the Shire. The hobbits of Buckland have graciously opened their town hall to us, as well as the land surrounding it, and, just like all other hobbit parties, they are thrilled to bring the food, ale, presents, and talk has circulated about the appearance of fireworks. So, in order to thank our gracious hosts, we have been asked to simply attend, have a good time, and not steal too much of their food. I, in behalf of all of the hobbits, am thrilled to see you here, and have a blast at The Brewery. ------------------------------ SCHEDULE OF EVENTS June 25 - [Pot Luck] & [Enter Gift Exchange] June 26 - [Enter Gift Exchange] June 27 - [Karaoke] June 28 - [Karaoke] & [Playing at the River] June 29 - [Playing at the River] June 30 - [Hide & Seek in the Old Forest] July 1 July 2 - [Gift Exchange and Fireworks] ------------------------------ THE GIFT EXCHANGE - Enter the 25th & 26th of June Upholding to a very hobbity tradition, we are going to be having a gift exchange at the end of the Brewery. Running into the center of the area, Pippin was slightly upset to see that Frodo was the only one that followed, and the stage had already been taken. "You can go up next," Frodo assured Pip, pointing at the place where Pippin should stand. "But... you... Merry," Pippin stumbled through, knowing that Merry, in particular had always enjoyed this. He glanced back to see if Merry was coming. "I am sure he will be running up here soon enough..." |

Although they had missed the Karaoke, Mrs. H and Haldir still headed down to the Party Tree. They weren't interested in the Karaoke anyhow. This year, they had brought their son, Almárion to his first ball. He was now a month shy of a year and a half. He was now walking and jumping about, which was common by the time Elves were a year old and he was quite the talkative one as well. With the dance floor empty, it was a good chance to let the young Elfling jump around on the dance floor. He had bore witness to the Elves at home dancing and he starting jumping and kicking his little feet around as if though trying to copy their movements. With that in mind, Haldir thought maybe it was time they brought their son to a ball. And the Hobbit Ball was near at the time. Mrs. H set the child on the floor and as if he knew the purpose of being there, he instantly started to jump around, trying out his little dance moves. At least here there was plently of space for him to move around. It sometimes became a little bit of a hassle when he started jumping around in the house. "Look Ada! I dance!" Little Almárion called as he jumped around. Haldir laughed watching his son attempting to dance. "Yes, son, well done," he complimented. Haldir knew he picked up the desire to dance by watching others since he himself did not behave as such when he was that age, his wife said she was not either. He saw it as influence then. |

[*headdesk* I have been such a bad ball host. I totally forgot about this, to realize it was already the 2nd. Now, we can either do the Gift Exchange today, as planned, or we can wait until tomorrow or Friday and just overlap a bit.] Frodo and Pippin sat down at a bench listening to the music lighten the atmosphere. The whole week had been relaxed, and they were ready for it to end with a Bang. Gandalf had arrived, setting up his workplace the night before, and the four hobbits were promised that they would be turned into something unnatural if they dared to touch a firework. But... that only qualified for the four of them, Frodo and Pippin thought in unison, It did not apply to their wives or dates.... They thought as they contemplated on how to get the dates to set off a firework. |

Nurr left the dining area and followed the sound of music to the party tree. "Oh wow!" She looked wide-eyed at the amount of fireworks Gandalf had piled up. Looking past them, she saw Frodo and Pippin. "Hey!" She called as she walked over to them. "What are you up to?" |

Caught off guard, both Frodo and Pippin quickly stopped talking and, in unison, jolted their heads towards the newcomer. "Oh, hey Nurr," Frodo said, releaved that it wasn't Gandalf. "We are wanting to get our hands on the fireworks, but Gandalf promised that he would turn us into something unnatural if we did..." There was a moment of silence, and Pippin filled it by asking, "Do you know where Prisca is? I thought she was with you." |

[I has been naughty! Bad me -smacks head-] Merry was dragging his protesting cousin towards the area. "Come on you big silly! This is definitely the best part of the whole thing! I know that you didn't blah blah blah but it dosen't matter!" Ashalind sighed and gave up. He was always getting somebody into trouble. She had the bad luck to be the one picked on this time instead of Pippin. ' Oh well.. ' she thought as Merry spotted Frodo and Pippin and waved enthusiastically. "Catch up!" He yelled over his shoulder and ran to join the two Hobbits. |

Michael looked over at his date. She was just standing there, mouth wide open. "We going down there?" Lor shook herself and looked back up at him. "Yeah, I was just in aw of everything. It looks soo pretty." "You like the pile of fireworks." Michael raised a finger as Lor began to protest. "No, don't say it. You've been spending too with Fiona. You have picked up her obsession for things that go boom. You will stay away from those." He removed his finger from her face and pointed at the stack of fireworks. "Okay, okay. Lets just join the party." |
