The first topic of discussion: there's an event planned to use the chatroom for a spooky Halloween movie viewing. I randomly selected Sleepy Hollow off of the top of my head, but are you guys interested in perhaps another movie you'd like to sit down and watch?

Let the discussion begin.

Summaries thanks to Johnny's Fan

Saturday 17th

Holly Short was the first guest to appear along with her husband Artemis. She was wearing a black and green dress.

Maeve arrived next. She hopes to write dark and spooky poetry.

Sparkle… erm.. wears sparkly things and sparkles.

Ea arrived wearing lots of black thingies.

The Headless Horseman arrived along with his horse Eliza, cute little tiny pumpkins and lots of apple related edibles.

Kitoky has appointed new staff members. The faithful among us, will be kind enough to purchase this little item.

[apparently, one of the guests from the first page has wings – whether this was a typo by Kit or I’ve missed it, if someone could confirm… I’m a paranoid clue hunter]

Sunday 18th

The guests discovered the glory of the mansion dining table and all the goodies it held. [Ask The Horseman.. even the paper plates are tasty]

Mist seems to be confused as to how she arrived at the mansion and was an unexpected guest. [INFILTRAITOR! *cough*]

Ea smiles a lot… mischievously.

Dana Steel arrived on a motorbike.

Lots and lots of muffins were eaten. [seriously, if anyone dies after eating one of those muffins we’re all doomed…although technically poisons don’t take that long to act…hmmm..]

Violet Grape is a relative of the deceased Saffron Orange. The latter’s cat Winter, is now owned by Violet and came along with her. [let’s hope it behaves itself this year]

Deria Elacrin owns a notebook.

Psyche Zenobia arrived and was miffed no one paid particular attention to her. Kitoky described her entrance as having festivity.

Ea welcomed a lot of people and also performed duties that were more for the host and servants then a guest.

There are lots of sparkly and glittery people/clothing. (Dana Steel seems to have a supply)

Violet Grape also carries a notebook around with her. Her next book will be called The Kitchen.

Ea is a very … strange character. [scratches head]

Fuschia Rivers and Deria Eclarin have handled swords.

Evening Serenity, Holly Short and Derai Eclarin are musical.

The Headless Horseman almost set fire to his trousers. There is uncertainty who would have been more surprised - him or the guests, had the evil fire succeeded with its mission.

Do NOT come between a certain horse and her cup (or bucket) of tea.

Monday 19th

Several guests expressed an interest in exploring, particularly the gardens.

Ea brought a bag of chestnuts to make chestnut animals. She showed Sparkle and The Headless Horseman how to make them.

There are some glances between Sparkle and The Headless Horseman, that are making him nervous. [but it should silence certain people from last year… you know who you are]

More people joined in making chestnut animals.

Kitoky bounded down the stairs [for some reason imagining this made me fall off my swivel chair] and (hastily) announced that Nurranitel Mashiara had been murdered. Kitoky was checking that everyone was up for the day, and she found Nurrantiel in bed, and when she tried to awake her, Kitoky realised she was dead. A note was found next to the table stand on the floor (possibly the result of a struggle?) reading “Take that”. It appeared to be written on a sheet of paper from a notebook.

There are a lot of people who like at least one “Take That” song. (*cough* me too)

Kitoky recalled Nurrantiel’s pillows were randomly thrown onto her bed.

A party was formed to examine Nurrantiel’s room. Kitoky, Maeve, PD and TT went to explore the room along with who LydiaDeetz offered to photograph any evidence.

Maeve knew Lady Death, a deceased guest from last year.

Nurrantiel had a funny feeling. She felt she should not have returned after what happenend last year. Like a premonition.

Kitoky suggested that Nurrantiel could have been smothered by the pillows as there were no signs of physical injury on her body.

JF’s ponder #1: Take that - An ironic revenge murder for the killing of someone last year by a guest this year? [Maeve and Violet Grape both have connections with previous victims]

JF’s Ponder#2: If the note ended up on the floor and not on the table due to a struggle… would not the killer have placed the note after their victim was deceased?

JF’s Ponder #3: If it’s a revenge killing… aren’t the rest of us safe? [yippee!] Unless someone witnessed Nurrantiel expiring and that person will themselves be bumped off…. if they haven’t already.

Tuesday 20th

Nurranitel chose to be buried under the big freaky oak tree, like the one in Sleepy Hollow. [don’t you need a permit to plant someone in your backyard?]

PD suggested guests explore the attic. TT, Violet, Fuschia and Nurr accompanied her (as well as too many others who tagged along to name).

Kit made a big, big (big I tell ye) fuss about not opening a certain crate in the attic until the 27th or the 28th.

For some reason there was a conversation about eyeballs. [your guess is as good as mine.. personally I prefer them to croutons but there you go]

The Headless Horseman can’t hold his liquor.

Wednesday 21st

Ea was accused of being the murderer but Kit announced that she wasn’t. (Let’s face it, had we chosen correctly first time round, we’d have all expired from the shock so I say it was a good thing we were wrong)

Kit suggested the gardens should be explored. The fountain with the naked cherub is new. A unicorn would have been preferred. [And I could think of other things to have naked in a fountain… but that’s another story]

Kit wanted to show the guests her wildflowers. Lydia and Evening were dead amongst the flowers. There was an unusual dead spider found on Lydia.

PD suggested the spider bit them both and that’s how they died.

Kitty arrived very late to the party.

Maeve reminded people that there was a fuss over spiders in connection with the exploration of the attic.

The wildflowers were imported from New Zealand and Australia. Kit thinks New Zealand is part of Australia.

Thursday 22nd

Kit suggested that a headquarters be established so meetings can be held to discuss the murders. Somewhere discreet and ninja-y.

Evening remembered coming across the murderer of Lydia in the process of doing the dirty deed with the help of a Black Widow spider. The killer wore a hood and gloves for when touching the spider and noticing Evening, the killer turned the spider on her, and she died. Evening thought the murderer seemed irked by handling the spider.

Susy suggested looking under the staircase for a secret headquarters.

Evening found a secret room under the stairs and using her ghostly powers, pulled a lever to let the mortals in through the secret door.

The Horseman and TT had a fascinating conversation about the temper of Hostess Kit.

Something… odd is occurring between the Horseman and Sparkle.

Somehow The Horseman, PD and TT got into a LOST discussion which included lively arguments, fangirling from the female members and the mention of The Horseman’s cousin Antoinette.

[remember folks… S is for “mathS”] Kit declares this a fallacy.

Friday 23rd

Lydia remembered being in the garden when someone put a spider on her neck, and she also saw Evening approaching.

Guests decided on who to accuse next as the murderer. Psyche Zenobia accused Violet Grape and Kit revealed that Violet was not the killer.

Saturday 24th

Kit announced it would be Trick or Treat (in The Horseman’s words, it’s the time when you lock everything precious to you in Fort Knox and you sit in the dark with a blunderbuss… waiting).

Kit lead a party to the fancy dress wardrobe in the attic. Kit was wearing her now famous Burger King costume. Kitty wore an Obi Wan Kenobi outfit, Violet a pumpkin, Ea a human (???), Susy a taco and the Horseman found a nifty sombrero.

[Replying OOC] Anything Tim Burton is a good Halloween movie marathon. But I'm not a fan of scary movies in general, so I'm not the best authority there.

I'm not a big fan of scary films either, and I think we'd have to be careful which one we choose, and some are more tasteful than others.

My choices would be: Sleepy Hollow, Arsenic and Old Lace (can't beat a Cary Grant comedy), Nightmare Before Christmas and... hmm.. one of the old Universal horror films, although they probably won't be scary enough for some people. :P

How about the first Pirates of the Caribbean? It could be considered Halloweeny with you know... immortal skeletons and all that fun stuff. :D

That could work (wow, I almost added "said The Horseman" there... sheesh, it's only been one day). Maybe even the Brendan Fraser Mummy as well. That's nice and spooky with undeed mummies.

Although if we're going for ultimate hide-behind-a-cushion moments though, we could just re-watch the insect scene in King Kong a few hundred times... that would get people in the mood alright.

I vote for PotC, then. XD I haven't seen it in a very long time, and it's the only movie mentioned that I actually own on DVD.

The movie viewing is scheduled for next weekend, so how about we throw out the times that might work for us? For those two days, I can sit down and start it any time of the day, I know we have a few people across the ocean that would probably appreciate if we didn't start it at 2 am for them, lol.

I'm quite happy with any time really. I won't get to watch all of whatever it is anyway. 2am works for me, as does 5pm, 6pm, 3am.

I live to serve others. :P

*Frowns* Sunday is a better day for me, though of course it's up to the general consensus, yes? I would probably only really see snatches of it in any case, with my schedule. Sunday afternoon would be nice. Uh, I'm in Mountain Time... that's GMT-6, according to the little thing underneath all these posts.

We're not just watching the one movie, right?

Any time works for me, though I'll probably be drifting in and out depending on work and what my brothers will be doing.

Well, do you guys want to do multiple movies that weekend? I can do two viewings for those that are available on Saturday and those who are available on Sunday.

So, a good primary movie is Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl because we all love that movie.

What do you guys want the second movie to be? A Nightmare Before Christmas? Or... just the insect scene from King Kong? lol

I've not seen either, but just the one scene seems rather...dull, however awful it might be the first few times.
