Wolf Blitzer is the most annoying interviewer I watch. He keeps asking the stupidest questions that his guests have no hope in hell of answering.

Granted, my experience of watching and hearing him is practically nonexistent - not that we wouldn't have the occasion, as we have CNN in our cable television bouquet. But I feel no pity for his guests, to be truthful, how hard is it to make him ask sensible questions? I have yet to see – or more accurately hear - an interviewer (never mind politicians as interviewees) that I could not cut to ribbons by challenging their (usually only implied) assumptions.

The Doors took their name from the title of Aldous Huxley's book The Doors of Perception, itself derived from a line in William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is: infinite".

Do you mean to imply an endless chain of plagiarism?

You have provided me with (possibly) OED definitions – which would befit a JRRT site. Didn’t really answer my question, though.

As to your question regarding an "endless chain of plagerism", I think It's likely.

Have started re-reading "The Hobbit" (currently arrived at Beorn's place, Gandalf has just started introducing his companions).
