Arabella, me and you should so totally collaborate on a playlist! And then post the link to it on AU and say "play this while attending the party"! I've got a whole list of awesome celtic music(some slow some fast) as well as several fiddle tunes and squre dance tunes. But I imagine we won't want just classical, but modern music won't really work.... will it?

*pops in* I would suggest that some modern music would be good, because who knows - the Hobbits might want something different. I wouldn't suggest anything too crazy though. use your judgment and you should be fine.

I agree with Alanna that some modern non-celtic/ lotr Music might be fun too I mean imagine how hilarious an Epic Lotr conga to 'Do Do Do' and other embarrassing and cheesy disco songs would be- and if no one likes it we could always throw things at the DJ

That sounds fun, a music mix! Not sure why but the mental image of a bunch of hobbits dancing to the 'Footloose' song, and songs from Grease popped into my head, and it was pretty funny!

I LOVE THAT SONG. I'm such a shameless Beach Boys fan it's not even funny--I've seen them (or, well, one of the original Beach Boys and the rest just fill in since the majority of the members are dead or have left the band) twice at different state fairs! *adds song to the list*

You don't have to make anything, you could always find a photo or a poem or a story online and post that for who you'r giving it to, or secretly request something from someone else And it isn't compulsory

Alright, I have something of a small playlist for this!!! Because I think it's about time to get this rolling, eh?

So most of it is celtic. And there are a couple of drinking songs in there.

And you all made suggestions like Grease and Beach Boys and Footloose... you might find them in there as well as other just completely random songs! And I'm sure everyone will laugh when they get to 'Flaming Red Hair' or 'Hobbit Folk Rock'. Especially Hobbit Folk Rock!

And if you have any other suggestions, let me know and I will be happy to add them to the playlist!
