(Aerliniel- we're having a Hobbit Party to celebrate Bilbo and Frodo's Brithday and for RotR so it's just some fun RP, there's dates and costumes here so you can see Who's with Who, and who's free to be dates :) hope that helps!

Femke: The Hobbit Party is on going so don't feel you have to leave just because it isn't the 22nd any more, it can continue indefinitely if we want :)

Ari: YESSSS musical Theatre geeks we will rule the world... not that I do Musical Theatre at uni, but It's my favourite hobby EVER! good choice of song :)

& Argh sorry I'm late university is 100% to blame D: I did nothing Hobbity on Hobbit Day, apart from drag myself around campus for various pointless meetings!)
______
"We are late."

"No We're Not."

"Yes We are. We're Late."

"Lembas. We aren't late. We're Fashionably Late- it's a completely different thing" Legolas reassured his Date

All the same, they were walking in arm in arm through Hobbiton towards the party field- that is if one could describe Legolas hurrying along and Lembas, with a fistful of skirts in one hand and the other firmly clamped on his elbow, desperately trying to keep up with him as 'walking arm in arm'. As the lights of the party tree came into view they stopped to compose themselves.

"Fashionably Late is still late" She said as she watched Legolas sweep a stray strand of hair behind his pointed ear and ask: "How Do I look?"

Giving him a smile she replied: "You look lovely as ever"

"You do as.." he started to reply until he was cut off with

"Oh No! No no nonononoooo!"

"But you d..." Legolas tried again, only to see his date- eyes wide- hitch up her skirts again and run full pelt towards the party cursing wildly.

Lembas was so proud to help Bilbo, Frodo and Elenthari organise this party that to see one of the tents come crashing down randomly was one of, if not the worst thing that could happen. As she ran, leaving her bewildered Date behind her, she vented her annoyance at being late, at the tent falling down, at the fact that she was wearing a maxi dress which ultimately meant at some point she would stand on her hem and fall over... oh.

The party lights lurched before her eyes and she tumbled head over heels, landing unceremoniously on the floor outside the party entrance. Bilbo's face was all of a sudden looming above hers and he informed Lembas that she had certainly made a spectacular entrance and suggested a career in gymnastics. Unseen hands dragged Lembas to her feet and she saw Finrod leading Zimmy out of what-was-once the tent. As if driven by some un-natural force, or Gandalf deciding that this would be a hilariously convenient, the band began to play 'It's My Party and I'll Cry if I want to'. Brushing herself down she realised all the panic was for nothing, she'd made a fool of herself and left Legolas behind to boot.

"You're pouting you know?" Okay so evidently she hadn't left Legolas behind, which Lembas thought to herself was a good thing. Plus Bilbo had already organised the re-construction of the tent, and her dress miraculously hadn't got dirty from her *ahem* entrance.

Maybe things weren't going to be so bad after all.

"You really do look beautiful" Legolas told her with a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you. Do you realise, that you've got a hair loose from it's braid?" Lembas asked him, unable to hide her smirk as he put his hands to his head instantaneously.

"I'm just winding you up for being Mr Cool! And for teasing me for pouting" she told him with a Giggle.

Smiling Brightly at her Legolas offered his hand, which Lembas took gladly, and together they sought out Frodo, and Bilbo (again) in order to wish them a Happy Birthday.

(Lembas: where is the list for whose paired up with who and who free and thing like that?)

After her dance with the younger birthday boy, Aerliniel was too excited to do anything else, so she sat with Frodo as he waited for Alanna to arrive. "I hope nothing's happened to her," said Aerli who was genuinely afraid that something had happened to her friend.
"Me too!" replied Frodo.
Just then Merry came along and asked if Frodo wouldn't mind his stealing the beautiful girl sitting next to him for a dance.
"Not at all!" laughed the hobbit.
Merry offered his arm to Aerli who only said, "Well, what if I don't want to dance with you?"

Frodo and Merry exchanged surprised glances. Aerli took the arm that was still crooked, "I'm just kidding! Of course I'll dance with you, Merry!" she laughed a long melodious laugh in which the other two hobbits joined in.

Just then another song started up. One that Aerli recollected hearing from her Celtic CD's!
"Oh! I like this one!"
"Then let's get started!" laughed the energetic Merry.
"Alright!"

Their dance was not as wonderful as Ari's and Pippin's, unfortunately, but at least the young hobbits dressed in bright colors were having as much fun as ever!

"After this dance, do you want to go and try those chocolate cheesecake muffins I brought?" asked Aerli.

"Choc- chocolate cheesecake muf- muffins? I never knew there was such a thing! Yes! Let's plan on that!"

Shadowcat was late to the party. Fashionably late, she liked to think, although the truth was actually that rather suddenly she had found herself burdened by a heavy load of schoolwork. But Faramir was understanding; he knew the value of scholarly endeavours, and so he'd been a gentleman about it and hadn't complained.

Of course the party looked absolutely stunning, the Party Tree positively glowing under the twinkle of lights; Shadow couldn’t even bring herself to begrudge the crowds, as she often did, because the people whose birthday was being celebrated were most worthy of love and adoration.

Since Frodo and Bilbo were bound to turn up at some point, and they could then wish the hobbits a happy birthday, Shadowcat turned to Faramir.

"Dance?" she suggested.

"Certainly," he agreed.

After the dance was over, Aerli was too tired to do anything else but eat. Merry brought her over to the banquet table where he tried the chocolate cheesecake muffins he'd promised to try. Aerli stood next to him impatiently waiting to hear how he liked them.

"They . . . they . . . they're very good," said Merry with what looked like a forced smile as he swallowed the first bite.

"They're not good, are they?" asked Aerli as reached over to try her own cooking.

"To be perfectly honest . . . they're amazing!" exclaimed Merry, who practically inhaled the rest of the muffin as grabbed another.

Aerli elbowed him as she laughed. After he'd finished eating, Merry asked the wonderful cook if she would like to join him in another dance.

"Weellll, I don't know if- "

Merry quickly kissed her on the cheek and ran off to the center of the dance floor. The very surprised Aerli ran after the mischievous-looking hobbit who pulled her close and started to dance.

"You're a real pain! You know that, Merry?"

"Yep! But I think that the real pain is lucky to be dancing with the prettiest girl here!"

Aerli's cheeks flushed bright red as she avoided looking into her partner's eyes. Trying to change the subject, Aerli noticed that there were some new comers, and dragged Merry over to meet them.

"Hello, Shadowcat! Wonderful to see you here!"

Eruraina watched as people seemed to pour into the party grounds and the music brought people to the dance floor. She clapped at Arabella's dance. It was amazing. She glanced at Cloud. He didn't seem like he was going to ask her to dance any time soon, for his attention was drawn to one of the tents. The redhead looked to see it topple down and two people find their way out as a ruffled-looking Lembas ran towards it.

Eruraina watched as Lembas fell and ran over.
"Lembas, are you alright?" she inquired, then saw that she was and sighed in relief before giving the other woman, and her gorgeous date, a smile. "Glad to see you all could make it... and I mean that to everyone here! So far this party has certaintly been fun!"

Cloud had been right behind her and now was at her side. He nudged Eruraina's arm with is elbow.
"Hey, it's your song," he said as Flaming Red Hair came on.

Eruraina gave a great squeel, grabbed Cloud's hand and made a beline for the dance floor where she proceeded to hop around in joyous dancing as if she herself was a hobbit...

Elen spurred on her steed. The animal rode at full speed. Small rocks flew in all directions under its hoofs.

"Why the hurry fair maiden?" asked Beleg. With his right arm he was holding tight Elen's waist, while with his left arm he was holding his bow and arrows. That was a rather hard task because the veils of Elen's dress where all over his face.

"Because we're already late" said Elen. Very late, said she to herself.

She never considered that bringing back Beleg Cúthalion from the Halls of Mandos would be such a hard task. No, not that she had troubles with entering in Valinor. Elen was always fond of the Valar, especially of Varda, and she always paid them a visit whenever she could. They granted her access to the Halls of Mandos without a problem. But Beleg was rather hard to convince to come with her. Not that he's remembered her from hers and Aerlinn's first visit in Middle-earth (thank goodness!).According to him it was against the natural order of things. Elen begged him, but he refused every single time. Even though she offered him the best shampoo and conditioner, prepared by Varda herself - she even put an extract from the stars, so your hair would be ever silky smooth and shiny. Despaired Elen mumbled something about Morgoth and how he was the only thing that could make Beleg return to Arda, when he finally showed interest in accompanying her. And so they finally came to Middle-earth to join Bilbo's and Frodo's b-day party.

Suddenly music was heard from behind the hill.

"Finally - the Party Field." said Elen in triumph.

"Party Field?" asked Beleg with bewilderment. "I thought we were after the servants of Morgoth."

"Err, yes, right...Well, there's a place we must visit first before we do that."

"Ok." said Beleg, but still he had a puzzled look on his face.

As they arrived at the Party Field Elen hopped on the ground and saluted:

"Hey everyone, sorry for being so late!"

"Why, hello, Elenthari!" called Aerli, who was glad for another excuse to take a break from dancing. "Don't worry about being late! You're not one of last ones to come, I'm sure! I don't think even a tenth of the Shire's here yet!" She laughed.

"Now, then," said Merry, "shall we dance?"
"No! Please! Spare me! I'm dead!" cried the fatigued red-head, "I think I'm going to be sore for a month!"
"Me too! But it's worth it when you're having this much fun!" he laughed as he extended his hand, which Aerli took.

"Would you like to join us on the dance floor?" Aerli asked as she turned her head in the direction of Elanthari.

Ari blushed at Lithoniel's compliment and the snippets of applause, taking the mug of cider offered to her. "I'm not as good as you say," she said, adjusting her scarf. She nudged Pippin. "It's having a good dance partner that makes all the difference, believe me. You should have seen who they had me dance with when my school did Grease for the musical in June. I think I still have bruises."

Pippin smirked at the crowd. "I really am as good as I look." Ari rolled her eyes. "Keep that up and you're sitting the next dance out, my friend. I'm sure there are plenty of other available gentlemen who are less arrogant about their dancing."

"Ah, but they're not as good as me, are they?" Pippin laughed. Ari's comeback was interrupted by the crashing of Lembas into the tent, and she set her mug down on a nearby table and went to go help. "You okay?" she asked. She looked up at Legolas with a smile. "Aren't you supposed to prevent things like this, being an elf and all? And her date?"

Once she was sure Lembas was all right, she returned to her date's side, greeting Elenthari as she did so. She laughed at Eruraina's enthusiasm as the band struck up the famous "Flaming Red Hair" and glanced over at Pippin, who was watching the dance floor. "You want to go out there again, don't you?" she asked. "Show-off."

Pippin grinned. "I'll give you a break after this one. You can dance with Frodo or Merry if you want. Come on!"

Ari gave her friends a shrug, taking Pippin's hand and making her way back to the dance floor. At the very least, she was going to burn off all the delicious food she'd be eating at this party tonight.

"Lembas, are you alright?" Lithoniel called over to the tent as she watched Ari help untangle Lembas and her date from the tarp. Once she saw they were alright, she took Alex's hand saying "Come on, I see a piece of chocolate pie with my name on it!" He laughed, saying "How can you pick just one thing out on that table? I've never seen so much food in my life." "What? All this? This is normal for a hobbit party!" she replied as she got a piece of pie for herself and Alex. She heard a horse gallop up and looked up as Elen dismounted. "Hi Elen! Dont worry, you're not late, your fashionable!"

"Thanks for the invitation, Aerli." Elen smiled. "I most certainly will join you, but I think I should first personally greet our most gracious hosts - Bilbo and Frodo." She looked over to her horse. Beleg hopped on the ground and swayed. He had this dizzy look on his face, typical for someone, who had just gotten off the roller coaster in Disneyland. He leaned on his bow. "Aaand maybe I should help my escort with regaining his ability to walk on solid ground once again. Excuse me for a moment."

Elen ran back to Beleg and helped him to stand up.
"Are you alright?" asked she. "You seem kind of dazed."

"Well, it was quite the ride, but I'm fine!" answered Beleg. He chuckled. "You're not an experienced rider, are you?"

"You got me - I'm not." Elen laughed. "Do you want me to get you anything though? Are you sure you're ok?"

"Thanks for your concern, young maiden, but there's nothing to worry about. We, Elves, regenerate faster than you think." Beleg looked around. "Now..what's the situation are these creatures the servants of Morgoth you spoke of?"

"Servants of Morgoth?!...Wha-...Oh!" Elen startled. Obviously his moment of dizziness hasn't affected his memory, thought she. "Oh, no, no, no. Those are my friends."

"Friends? Allies then!" said Beleg. "Good! Reinforcements are always handy." A triumphant smile appeared on his face.
Elen looked at him with despair.

"No...I mean, yes. I mean no...Oh, whatever!" said she. "Just stay here for another few seconds, please."

A puzzled look appeared on Beleg's face, but he silently obeyed Elen.
She moved through the Party Field and reached the tables, which were loaded with tons of deliciousnesses. Chocolate muffins, cookies, all sorts of tarts, pies, salads. In other words everything that could ruin a model's diet. Thankfully Elen wasn't a model. :P She looked around and saw Bilbo sitting a chair, enjoying the party.

"Ah, Mister Bilbo. Sorry for being so late." she waved at him. Elen walked to him and hugged him. "Happy (very belated) birthday, Mister Biblo! And to your nephew - Frodo of course! It's such a pleasure to be here."

"Glad you made it, dear!" Bilbo smiled.

"Where's Frodo? I'd like to greet him too."

"Oh, my nephew is somewhere around here. I believe I saw him around the dance floor few moment ago!"

"I'll definitely meet him there, than!" said Elen.

"Go dear, and enjoy yourself!"

Elen headed back to the dance floor. Suddenly she saw a female figure, flying high in the sky. On the ground there was a golden-haired Elf, waiting to catch her. Elen sensed a slight aroma of peach shampoo. Varda's cursed shampoo, thought she. Those are Aerlinn and Finrod Elen went in their direction and greeted.

"Hello there, you two. Long time no see" she smiled.

Oh! I know!!! Okay! Ummm, where should I start?

"STOP!!!!! Please! For pity's *gasp* sake, Merry! I *gasp* can't *pant pant* dance anymore!!!"

"Oh! really! We've only been dancing for about 20 minutes!"

"Only 20 minutes! ONLY 20 minutes! Well, I can't do anymore! One more minute *gasp* and I'll drop!"

"Oh! You're such a wimp, Aerli!"

"Me? A wimp?"

"Yes! All the other girls- "

"What about the other girls?" asked Aerli as she looked at him with somewhat of an angry look on her face.

"Well, look at them! I mean, some have been dancing since they got here! Hours!"

"You can dance with any of them if you like! The only reason they're still dancing, is because their partners won't let them stop!" she laughed as she made her way to the table piled with food.

Merry followed her and sat down after she had seated herself. They munched the pumpkin cheesecake muffins Aerli had brought as well as the chocolate cheesecake muffins, happily. They spoke with all the other guests at the party between bites and regained their strength.

And Aerli could not think of anything else to write, so she left that to whoever wanted to post next!

Lithoniel had to take a break from dancing with a group of hobbit children despite their protests. "I'm sorry, but I just cant keep up with y'all!" she said as she ruffled the curly mop of hair on a young boys head. "Oh please, keep her dancing!" Alex yelled over to the group as he got another slice of pie from the table. "You're my partner for the next dance bub!" Lithoniel yelled back as little hands grabbed onto hers and spun her around again. After the song ended Lithoniel managed to, in her mind escape, from the children and dizzily wandered over to the food table. "That was like being in an endless Ring Around The Rosey game..." she said, leaning on Alex for support while she waited for the party to quit spinning around her. "You alright?" he asked as he held her up. "Yep, I'm alright now. Soooo, lets hit the dance floor!" she said grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the table. She noticed Aerli taking a breather further down the table and called out to her. "Hey, Aerli! Love the chocolate cheesecake muffins! You can never go wrong with chocolate!"

Harthad ran in, Matt trying to keep up behind her. She jumped up on the stage and grabbed the mic. "Sorry I'm late, everyone!!"

She immediately hopped off and came face to face with Frodo. "Hi!" she said, a bit surprised that she had run into him this soon. "Happy Birthday!"

He grinned and said thanks. Matt came up from behind her and asked, "So what do we do now?"

"Well. . ." Harthad considered. "We eat, and dance, and say hi to everyone from A-U."

"But I don't know anyone from A-U.'

"You will."

"Okay. . .but I can't dance, either."

"I'll show you! Don't worry, Matt, it's going to be fine!"

"All I'm saying is that I've never been to a Hobbit party before. . .ahhh!"

Harthad dragged him off to where everyone else was, intending to introduce him to the others.

"Come ON, Aerli!" said Merry, trying to sound annoyed, "You've eaten all of the muffins, and pies and whatever is- sorry- was on the table!"

"Excuse me?" replied Aerli, "YOU were the one eating all of the muffins and pies and whatever is- sorry- was on the table! NOT me!"

Aerli started to walk towards the dance floor, pretending to try to find someone else to dance with. Then Merry came along and grabbed her hand and said, "You're not really mad at me, are you?"

"How could anyone look at that face, and stay mad at you?" she laughed, "Come on! Let's teach them the Cupid Shuffle!"

They ran to the center, and joined in the dance.

"You're better at this one than you were at all those others!" he shouted, trying to make himself heard above the sound of laughter coming from those who were trying to mimic their steps.

"Probably because you're not stepping on my toes!" she shouted back.

"I never once stepped on your toes!"

"Oh! Shut up, you and dance!" she laughed again.

When they got tired, they made their way, still dancing, to the outskirts of the crowded dance floor, and finally sank onto one of the benches. No one noticed they had stopped; so, they sat there and laughed as one of the younger hobbits attempted to dance the Cupid Shuffle.
