Need a little help here guys.

If you were writing a bio of someone, and you mention characters, TV shows, films and stage plays, also society names such as We Love Cupcake Society, would you include all of the above inside these lttle fellas "" ?

Because my grammar isn't the best out there or I've forgotten a lot of the simplt stuff, and I don't know if it's that necessary or not? I'm using it for stage plays and society's as some people may not realise that they are the actual name of something, but characters and film titles....??

I'm just thinking if I put quotation marks on everything and it's not needed it will look a bit odd.

Thoughts, ponderings, opinions, all are welcome. :-)

Character names and Society names don't need quotes or italics. :) Titles of TV shows, films, and plays need them--although I tend to use italics rather than quotes, but I'm not sure what the exact rules for that are. :erm:

... I should probably know this pretty well considering my mom teaches English, but after a certain point it just gets too bizarre and specific.

TV shows, movies, and plays would all be either italicized or underlined. Quotes go around articles, poems....generally, if it's a part of a larger thing, it'd be in quotes. The larger thing is italicized. So this also means you'd put quotes around a TV episode, while the show is italicized. (e.g. My favorite episode of Firefly is "Objects in Space".)
