Had a 'fun day' at work. Went to the beach and played soccer in the sand, and the surf club restaurant tried to kill me with an uncooked parmigiana.

I saw my niece and nephew for the first time all summer. They've been so busy with other events and activities. And they've grown a lot over the summer. Auntie is proud and sad at the same time.

The knee that the lab puppy kept running into gave out and I strained the ACL?. I have been limping along for the last few days, but things are steadily improving. I'm hoping by the end of the week things will be back to normal.

Cleaned out – meaning scrubbed with a tough bristle brush – the bird bath today. Algae infestation due to warm weather had definitely exceeded tolerable levels.
