I caved and sprung for a new bed and mattress a year ago this past December, and its so cosy now, I hate to get up in the mornings.

I need to lay off the head banging at shows a bit. Sometimes a sore neck isn't worth it.

There are things that get toughened with above-average use. Calluses on hands or feet are the classical case – some indigenous people who go barefoot can have soles on their feet to rival those of Hobbits.

But most skeletal joints – including the spine – tend to get worn out by overuse. Believe me, enough of mine creak by now (playing squash for over 20 years probably had a lot to do with it).

I'm having the same problem, Gersemi. I feel like my head's going to explode even after taking an antihistamine.

Boy, Hanasían, both you and Elora seem to be having driving issues.

We're not too bad here, although some of the seniors do strange things, like driving into the Real Estate office on the corner of the two main streets in the Village. The pedestrians, on the other hand, are a royal pain in the arse. Checking for oncoming traffic seems to be optional.

As it was with the beginning of spring as the meteorologists count it, on 01 March, today, being vernal equinox and thus the beginning of spring in astronomical terms, we had snowfall. We didn’t have a white Christmas, but may have a white Easter instead (though other regions in Germany have a higher probability of that than we do locally).

I can't believe the amount of snow the Eastern seaboard of the US is getting. I was looking at the news last night and it was blizzard conditions, with more to come. We've been so lucky. We did have snow that stayed around for a couple of weeks, but nothing too drastic. Makes me wonder what kind of spring and summer we will have. Summer is supposed to be extra hot this year, but we'll see.

Sucks, doesn't it? Mine have faded away now.

We had a bit of snow again today – probably about 1% of what hit the (north-) eastern US. The third or fourth such pile of snow in about three weeks, according to our news. Did that earlier stuff melt away between blizzards, or are the piles of (old) snow mounting? A few years ago, we had a bit less snow than any one of these blizzards dumped by itself here just before Christmas, and when thawing plus rain started around New Year’s, we immediately had flooding issues … :yuck:

No snow here, just raun showers and sun breaks. Actually today was more sun with occasional showers.

It was sunny today, which apparently motivated “our” squirrels to show up in larger numbers and later in the day.

The hummingbirds are back from down south so spring is officially here.
